Dodgy? After just 1 season or that game against Arsenal? Way to generalize. He was a great keeper. Saved our asses. VdS was one lucky keeper with Rio and Nemanja at their best in front of him.

It's no coincidence that we became more solid when VDS joined us....Also there isn't anyone in the team from Barthez time who rated him highly. When it came to the best GK in Man Utds premier league period it was always a debate between the contrasting styles of VDS and Schmeichel. No one would mention the midget frenchie. Hes part of the reason we were crap in Europe in that period. Always let in the weakest goals. If you think he was only bad against arsenal then you honestly dont know what your talking about. There's a highlight reel of his calamities....and btw Sir Alex wanted VDS to replace Schmeichel back in 2000 but he ended up joining Juventus.

@@sheedo1999 lol. Ever noticed how we havent won the league until after Vidic joined us? VdS had VIdic and Ferdinand. VdS was at best, an OK keeper. Theres a reason why he was offloaded from Juventus.

That 0-0 game V’s Bayern was my 1st ever game at OT lower Stretford end & although it was 0-0 my next game was a goal fest the following season in the CL V’s Olympiacos my Mrs took me for my Birthday it was either 4- or 5-0 goals from Scholes Solskjaer Veron & Giggs I remember us wearing our Blue top 🤷🏼‍♂️ Why 🤔 I do not know but I’ll never forget the game we were in the West Stand 2nd tier ✌🏼💙🙏🏼👍🏼🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I'm not convinced that Barthez wasn't on the make especially that Deportivo home game. You can't tell me he didn't see the ball but rushed into Blanc instead for the first and for the second he barely made an attempt to sweep the ball when he rushed out. Very very dodgy.
