Graeme’s reaction to the tipsy revellers at the start of your video was totally wrong. No need for it. Beating up civilians says everything about you and nothing about them. Especially where women are involved. Save it for when it’s needed or unavoidable. As a doorman you are there to make the place feel safe. You are not there to show off your fighting skills. Working the doors in the 1980’s I always thought John Anderson in Coventry was the best at keeping things safe.

Agree with all of that. However, certain jobs will always attract a certain type of person. In the course of my working life I've met psychiatric nurses who were the last people who should have been looking after vulnerable patients. Predators....

If Boardman was so capable and such a good martial artist, it’s a shame his first line of defence was a hammer I can understand it as a last resort but not first line of defence but then again he was a psychopath, so I’m told thank you for your as always great content 👍

He only held the hammer head in his hand to give it more weight in turn giving his punch more power, and a more solid hit.

I met him once ouside my mate's car showroom. My mate used to be a doorman. He later told me that they both went to a car auction in North Wales and Boardman took a dislike to somebody and set about him with his hammer. On another occasion - in Brahms and Liszt I think - a bodybuilder was coming up the stairs, and just as he was getting to the top, Boardman punched him and knocked him back down to the bottom. He looked down at him and said "don't you ever look at me like that again".

He was intelligent, wild AND totally fucking ruthless and lethal. Ran with Paul Doyle back in the day and no fucker wanted smoke of any kind with Boardman, no one in their right mind would; Graeme would take it to that next level and then any other level you wanted, no cut card whatsoever, a chilling individual indeed.
@jasper3127

Now Duffy was next level with his hand game and had a lot of well earned respect especially for his age but when comparing the two on any level Boardman would've annihilated Lee with laughable ease; in fact he's probably one of the few men Lee Duffy would've swerved. Please anyone tell me I'm wrong Boardman was simply next next level almost superhuman.

@@Potbellypugilist I believe both with emphasis on Kung-Fu and other Far Eastern disciplines. I believe had he not gone so young,as he was being too dangerous a liability and not giving a fuck for the heavy firms that operated in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, he would've reigned supreme in the North of England, I really don't think there was anyone nearly as dangerous. I've never heard of him taking any Ls and anyone who attempted, seemingly numbers of attackers and weapons not really mattering, came off very badly indeed. The mix of top knowledge of most hand to hand combat, utter fearlessness/supreme fitness and ruthlessness made him an adversary that few if any would tangle with, I believe this kind of freak of nature pops up every few generations only.

@@jasper3127 But you forget that he liked to smash people to bits with lump hammers and baseball bats ! No doubt a seriously tough guy ... But it was his Random mood swings that put fear into people and the fact he wasnt afraid to bite off body parts if need be. I know people who knew him personally and iv even trained with Martial art / Boxing coaches who knew him... Safe to say he had a Temper thats for sure. Apparently he loved doing push ups and could bang them out in sets of a 100 until he hit a thousand nearly every day of the week...

Doyle and Massey seemed to have a strange relationship. It seems Massey would goad Paul occasionally, but Paul remained loyal as far as I could tell from the book. That's why he came to such a grisly end when the Dutch firm mullered him, he was another level for the UK underground scene, but met his match; tellingly, though it was only at the hands of a top international firm, who were probably among the highest echelons of the most ruthless international criminal syndicates on the planet. He died in a super grim fashion apparently; live by the sword...

I once had a fascinating talk with a former member of an organised criminal crew. The members were all former jail birds ( violence , drug importation, smuggling ,……the usual), this group was headed by business guys who were well educated, dressed well, no criminal Record and insisted that as far as possible no member must attract the attention of the Customs or Police ; if they did they had to go off the jobs they were on for at least a year as if the Law was sniffing around some member, they have grounds to be watching them . This guy told me that to be a good crook, never attract the attention of the Law as if you do, they do not often stop looking at what you are doing, where you live, who you associate with ,, car you have, etc. Never have loads of cash on your person or, in the account you use with a debit card. Get a membership of a foreign Casino, ( money laundering), invest in shares of a car wash, buy and sell cars , apartments in Spain, Brasil, Turkey , Russia etc. Once the Customs and Cops start asking about you, you know you are under observation and need to be more tactful !
