Kemudian Kita Telepon Juragan Kapal, Katanya Biar Beli Umpan Udang Mati Dipasar, Kita Mancing Ketengah. Tidak Perlu Sewa Kapal, Ikut Saya Saja Mancingnya. Dan Kami Pun Berangkat. Nice day out fishing! Did you catch enough to make up for the cost of fuel? Here many 5 to 8 meter fishing boats can have engines so large that they can burn 30 or more gallons of fuel per hour when running out to the fishing area so its not unusual to burn through 60 to 100 gallons of fuel so around $200 to $500 depending on the prices at the fuel dock. That's why I have a 4.5 meter sail boat with a 2.3 hp motor that sips fuel. Best!

@@MustaqimMuhammadHattaToo many worship at the Altar of Speed and Extreme Performance so they are running Black Fins, Bertrams, Regulators, Boston Whalers, Sea Hunts, Parkers, etc which are all wide, heavy and fast deep vee sport fishing boats with twin inboard engines up to 454 cu in/7.4 liters or 2 to 4 or more 200+ hp outboard motors in the 25 foot/7.5 meters to 35 foot/10.7 meter range. Its not unusual to see one or two 100 to 500 gallon fuel tanks on them. Then there are those that have the Turbo or Supercharged Jet Skis and Jet Boats which can use an insane 35 or more gallons per hour at 50, 60 or more mph on those small craft that most are less than 15 feet/4.6 meters long. At those speeds they have to wear tight fitting wetsuits to prevent orifice injuries if they fall off so that water won't rush in and rupture intestines, etc. They go by at full throttle in a hurry to beat everyone else to where the fish are throwing a damaging wake often partially swamping smaller boats or at least soaking the occupants. Those who sail or live aboard their boats strongly dislike them. We call them members of the "More Money than Brains Club" while others might use more colorful yet inappropriate language. Best!

we are just small fishermen, Not many fishermen have big boats, on average our fishermen in South Kalimantan Province only use two single cylinder diesel engines, the main engine is 24 HP, the second engine is usually smaller. and the maintenance costs are also relatively economical. Even though the boat moves slowly, it saves operational costs. This can reduce the risk of loss if the fish yield is small. because our sea area is wide, it has lots of fish. You don't need to sail too far, you can get fish. from which country are you from? 😃👋

@@MustaqimMuhammadHatta I grew up in the 1950's when 35 hp was considered a large motor and most fishermen had modest molded plywood semi-vee or modified semi-vee boats less than 22 feet long that often would be powered with 10 hp or perhaps 15 hp engines. Often one or two 6 gallon tanks of fuel would see you through a whole days fishing from sunrise to sunset. Today its insane with even a modest fishing boat costing $25,000 to over $100,000 with the motors costing many thousands of dollars. Then they add a variety of costly fishing computers to them. Me I have a small sailboat with a displacement hull which can be brought to full hull speed with a 2 hp motor which you now need when you get into the channel due to all the tall hotels they built for wealthy tourists now blocking the wind. A liter or so of fuel is usually more than enough to see me through a few days or so of fishing. Sometimes we will take out a friends 32 foot sailboat which someone was throwing away since it needed some repairs (honestly a bit more than just some repairs). I helped get the 20 hp Kubota diesel engine working again (had to recast the thermostat housing, weld up a new transmission bracket, replace the exhaust elbow, rebuild the raw water pump, clean/service the heat exchanger, replace the glow plugs, rewire the starting circuit to use relays, repair the shift assembly in the side of the transmission, etc, etc) along with did other electrical work plus the plumbing. The 15 gallons of diesel fuel it holds has lasted us a few years now. since we all pitched in and helped do the work the costs were small compared to the benefits. I live in Pinellas County Florida in the USA between Tampa Bay to the East and the Gulf of Mexico to the West. Fishing can be good or bad depending on whether pollution has caused a Red Tide outbreak and killed all fish in the area recently. When there's a Red Tide there are dead fish floating everywhere washing up on the shore with many birds who ate the infected fish, sick or dead mixed in with the fish and the Red Tide itself will burn your eyes, nose, throat and lungs so its a very unpleasant along with a sad event.
