Am not a City fan myself but I admire the likes of Vincent Kompany, Joe Hart, Aguero, David Silva and the Toure brothers for their integrity in the game. They always play in the right spirit. to tell two rivals to get along completely defeats the purpose. To become "friends" is boring and kills the competition. As an Arsenal fan, I have Spurs fans as friends but when it comes to derby day, no one "gets along". the whole point of the match is the rivalry, to kill the passion/hate between the two sides would simply kill the fixture and thats why bitterness and arguments can be good. They intensify the rivalry and make the game more interesting.

As a United fan, I'm happy for City, they wanted it more.. Kompany is an absolute leader and the best CB in the world at the minute.. Aguero is such an honest and hard working player, David Silva is a genius and Yaya Toure is the heart of the team.. United were sloppy and lets hope for the sake of the BPL this rivalry is a long one, with passionate tense games like this one.. And I only hope there would be an end to the bitterness on both sides and just get along

What he forgot to mention to you is your club City have only TWO players left from the 2007-2008 season. City shipped out an entire squad within two years, granted that squad wouldn't of been good enough to win the league anytime soon. I don't have a problem with City buying players, What I've a problem with is City fans asking "How is what we're doing different to United?" when we still have players in our squad going back over five years.

Anyone notice that the United squad left the changing rooms as a group (i.e. AS A TEAM/SQUAD!) when they went out to warm up? The City squad walked out in drips and drabs to warm up (e.g. Dzeko and Balotelli). Fergie is a true disciplinarian and you have got to respect him for that. Mancini is always walking on eggshells and allows some of the big names to embarrass him on occasion. With Fergie, that kind of behaviour would have a player being shipped out, no matter how "big" the player is.

I am a United fan and I congratulate City (no matter what happens from this point onward). They deserve the title. They beat us both times and they played far far better football this season. They have a more talented roster and showed attacking flair that we lacked all season. They are deserving champions elect. I hope Fergie wakes up this summer and decides to buy world class players after the title capitulation. Look at City. They bought world class players and they will win the title.

Are you kidding me? Hockey takes a lot more endurance, stamina, skill, and heart. Not saying soccer/football/futball/whatever you are supposed to call it without people getting pissed, is a bad sport, but hockey is a lot tougher. Players don't roll on the ground for 20 minutes, they lose an average of 8 pounds a game, and they are actually allowed to get hit.

But Manchester United is a worldwide club. It has fans all over the world because the club has taken up sponsors such as Unicef and done work with organisations such as that. That's why they're so supported worldwide. City are mainly supported in Manchester because they're obviously in the city centre and the closest club to many people growing up in Manchester. But I'd love to know how many Man City 'fans' were actually 'fans' when they were shit and in division 1.
