HIGHLIGHTS! Man City 2-1 Club America | De Bruyne Scores Screamer in Houston!

Julian Alvarez, Stefan Ortega Moreno and Kalvin Phillips played their first game as Manchester City players as we returned to action with victory over Club America in the opening match of our pre-season tour of the United States.
Erling Haaland was an unused substitute as Kevin De Bruyne’s brace gave Pep Guardiola’s side a 2-1 win over the Mexican outfit at Houston’s NRG Stadium.
The Belgian opened the scoring with a trademark finish on the half hour mark, riding two challenges on a burst forward and curling a wonderful 18-yard effort into the far corner.
Club America levelled against the run of play 13 minutes later as striker Henry Martin latched onto a lofted ball over the top and checked inside Nathan Ake before squeezing the ball between Ortega Moreno’s legs.
De Bruyne sealed the win on the stroke of half-time, ghosting in behind the opposition defence to collect Riyad Mahrez’s perfectly weighted through ball and firing underneath Oscar Jimenez.

Claramente se nota la pretemporada de los tipos, pero ese ritmo lento, es el "rápido" en nuestro fútbol, ja. Aunque a Bernardo lo veías hacer un pique y con la lengua afuera o a Mahrez al trote, los tipos son diferentes! Julián hizo lo que a Pep le gusta en un delantero, presionar y bajar, entrar y salir. Bueno, básicamente lo que hacía en River, más los goles. Sabemos que parado de 9, no aporta mucho, sino más moviéndose como lo hizo en el PT. Y justo en el ST cuando empezaba a bajar más para buscar el juego, lo empezaron a cagar a patadas. Y Pep lo sacó, a él y a De Bruyne, para cuidarlos y meter los pibes. En la entrevista post partido habló muy bien de Julián y justamente dijo eso "menos mal que no hubo lesionados", y si, es lo que buscan justamente, ritmo en la preparación, pero que no se lastime nadie. No es tanto ritmo lento, más bien fue la poca intensidad de los jugadores de City, si es un poco patético ver como los futbolistas de América juegan a máxima intensidad, y dando su máxima capacidad, mientras éstos otros estaban mareando la bola con lapsos más rápidos e intensos que otros pero jugando a medio gas, eso demuestra el poco nivel que tiene México ante clubes europeos.
