Oh dear Marcy, I celebrate every one of your videos. This honey project has become my favorite. I love the story around it, the info about your father, the song at the end and especially the bee mandala. This is definitely my new favorite mandala of yours. It's so beautiful, interesting and varied. And the composition is very soothing to my eyes. I love how you painted the lilacs. With your permission, I would like to borrow some of your petals. I would love to incorporate them into one of my projects with you in mind. 🫶🙏🏻 You did a great job incorporating the honeycomb and the flower of life into your artwork. It is so much fun to look at. The swooshes, right on the honeycomb, have such a beautiful color combo that reminds me of liquid honey. Thank you for sharing this great project with us. 🙏🏻 This mandala shows what a wonderful, creative and intuitive artist you are. A true artist that I would love to meet one day. Have a wonderful day. 🥰🫶 Your friend Cathrin

Hi Cathrin! Ohh Im glad you love this one! Its so special to me. 😊 The composition was a bit tricky with how the lilacs fell. For weeks i was trying to draw that thing out lol. I don't mind at all if you take ideas from these mandalas. Not at all mind. 😊I can't wait to see what you come up with! Of course you very welcome..I love sharing my ideas with you and everyone. Take care my friend!❤❤❤❤

My dear Marcy, unfortunately I'm not getting around to watching all your beautiful videos at the moment. 🙈 I haven't finished watching this video yet, but I would still like to pay you a big compliment. 🥰 Your mandala, which you show us at the beginning, is wonderful. I love lilacs, one of my favorite flowers, they smell so wonderful. I think the honeybee theme is great and the story behind it with your father really touches me. I love the way you paint with the multi-surface pencils (I'm currently doing a bit of that too) and I love your creativity. I like anything that is different and your art is definitely that. 🙌🏻 I'm listening intently to what you're saying about your dot painting experience. Also about your experience with the tourists. It must be a beautiful landscape where you live. I love listening to you. I used to look at Rachel's Rock a lot when I was still painting rocks (summer 2022, when I was just starting out). She's another person I love to listen to. And today you are my Rachel. 🫶 I've complimented you several times before, I'll do it again now because I feel it again: you have such a beautiful calm voice. I just love listening to you and your wonderful stories. And the more I hear from you, the more I love you. 🥰 It's the same for me, by the way, I'm ALWAYS thinking about painting, about my projects. Which colors I use, which patterns,... Everywhere I go, I see inspiration for my projects. I feel very connected to you. 🫶 I could imagine us both being good friends if we lived together and went on inspiration tours together. 🙌🏻 I'm already looking forward to finishing this video and your others that I haven't seen yet (I can't keep up). Thank you so much for providing us with such great entertainment and allowing us to learn so much. 🙏🏻🫶 Best regards from Germany, your friend Cathrin 🥰

Awe my dear Cathrin, I feel the same way about our growing friendship. It's very hard in general to gain friendships as we get older. We find a handful if that, and find family is most important as your friends. In life you only find those few solid friendships that leave a staple in your heart. My last friendship I lost due to cancer. She was my bestest friend and it was at the peak of me becoming a mom, so I really needed her. I've yet to find that same friendship in someone. I feel a great connection to you too, and I'm so happy we are friends! 🫶 I was hoping this would happen when I started this channel, that in this sea of dotting artists I would find myself with like minded people that I could build friendships with not just have a silly following. So I can't thank you enough for showing up and us talking. Maybe one day I'll travel to Germany and we can explore ☺️ As for the videos, they'll always be here to watch. 😍 And I'll always talk about life and stories. ❤️❤️ I enjoy reading your stories in your posts too, I find it's important as artists to share reasoning of why we create the things we make. What drives us. That's a good artist in my eyes. Someone who evokes emotion. 🙌 Have a wonderful day and keep creating masterpieces! ~Much love 💕

Hi Marcy! You have a very interesting background😀very impressive! You were asking about we viewers became interested in mandala painting so….I started painting in 2021…michele the painter was my inspiration initially and so for a winter I painted along with her for several paintings..I am no kind of an artist…not at all but found myself desperately needing something to keep my mind thinking of other things besides the situation id gotten into….remarried at 54 ( 3rd time) and my beloved father passed in the same year …bought my dads home and living there all the sudden surrounded by not the best memories and a husband who seemed to be so negative about everything that my life was being sucked out of me , I had to keep myself from going into the mental hospital ……( we had been married five yrs at this point) lol…accidentally, I saw people painting mandalas and thought I can maybe do that…and after the one winter of trying to paint pictures I didnt pick up a paintbrush til just this last winter here in michigan…so I started trying the dot painting id seen others do online…using round wood from micheals…and i painted and struggled every day since last nov….ive moved up to buying my own wood and the husband i complained about 😂has done a beautiful job cutting out rounds…..1/2 in thick kind…smoothsll the edges and I have all sizes up to 36 inches buthave only done up to 24 inch so far.i posted some of my mandalas on my fb page just to show them and have several people wanting to buy them. I have not responded as they were not offered as sale items but what else will i do with all of them? Haha…..u serve two purposes for me Marcy…….as a wonderful teacherof mandala art and as an asmr artist that helps me with my anxiety issues……I bet u didnt realize how important u would become to the now 62 yr old retired woman in michigan!😁👍🏻basically in 8 months ive gone fromnot too good to where people want to purchase my work….but ive Been in a back room every single day for hours ( avoiding my dear husband) lol🤦‍♀️😁😆😂he takes really good care of me and Im officially retired and perhaps Isnt the stressful one……..maybe its me…..I watch Demi as well by the way too……..ive never used any stencils but di just get your tear drop shaped stencil. I just love this mandala Marcy….its gorgeous!! Im extremely critical of my own work and perhaps thats why ive not gotten ahold of the people that reached out to me on facebook regarding purchasing my work…I know u said u were that way as well so I feel better ….i have adhd….and i struggle with figuring out how to even open an etsy shop let alone figureing out a pattern in my painting…perhaps when the husband returns from his alaska fishing trip he will set it up….he is very good at such things! Sorry about the lengthy comment!! 🤷‍♀️😂🫣

Awe my dear Kelly, my friend...Your kind words resonate with me, and make me feel such intense emotions when reading stories from my viewers. There are lots of days I find myself wondering why I am doing this KZbin channel. Why am I neglecting house work, sometimes I feel my kids, staying up late to edit videos, trying to maintain a creative flow while running a household, wondering if i should've started this channel when everyone was grown up and out of the house and I myself are retired lol. It's hard balancing both, as I am a 43 yr old mom of two, its overwhelming a lot of times, my patience I had in my 20-30s as vanished.. I don't think I ever quite adjusted to not working and being a mom full time, I always craved art and teaching. I'm grateful everyday I have a husband who supports me to where I can do this for myself. But ya know, my mother always told me that reasons happen at certain moments in your life and you shouldn't change them as they are learning lessons and opportunities waiting for you. I have been through a normal roller coaster of life, some was traumatic and some was great. Balancing all I do is way hard some days. Especially when I get heavy slack for things that people just want to be mean about. My husband tells me to just survive it, that certain people can only stomach being a creator on here because people will try to tear you down, jealousy is very real, so you need to not read everything. But of course I can't do that, I'm a very compassionate person and it stings when i get nasty comments, but then there's people like you, who I see now give me purpose.🧡🧡 I can't thank you enough for letting me help you with emotions you may be dealing with, or just needing some inner peace. Please know that it doesn't matter who comes into our lives, we need to take the time to self care. I still struggle with that saying. I struggle with balancing caring for three people in my house and finding the time for me. Painting helps me with that. As I see it helps you too.❤️ And you know what, that's such a fine connection we have. 😊 Boosting peoples moral and confidence is so important in this world, and I feel people don't do it enough. ohhh and to tap real quick into the phrase , I'm not considered an artist...boy that has haunted me my whole life, I've always had these conversations with other friends of mine who also make art, and we all come down to this...There are no rules to art, the meaning of art is such: the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination. If you are provoking this into someone when they look at your art, then you are the artist, you ARE an Artist and Don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise. Now with saying that, I'm gonna go head over Facebook and find my new friends art page. Maybe in the future I can prepare a video on selling mandalas, setting up a shop on Etsy, etc. You take Care of yourself! Remember to find balance in your surrounding life! Much Love

@@printsandpaintsbymarcythanks Marcy for returning a lovely response to my comment, your not just talented but very kind! 🥹I dont think my fb page has but a couple posts with my work but u will find out of my love of weather and political leanings for sure! Lol😆 a few years ago I bought the tripod and mic and other items needed to do an asmr channel but never made one video….and the reason was alot of not being able to think of what to record( i wouldn’t do just weird tapping on some object😳it had to be something I was actually doing like sorting stones for rock polishing) and there is only so much things I do..not enough to make three videos a week and the MAIN reason was because I was just afraid….afraid of failure but also afraid of the comment section..I am so sensitive and im like you Marcy, I would have to read them. A nasty comment or harsh critical comment would hurt me deeply and id think about it over and over and eventually just have physical effects from it…..my reaction is way over board but its just who I am ….and im alot better than I used to be!( no wonder im on my third marriage!) so that is the reason I decided to not do it….but im definitely growing up emotionally …i was emotionally about 17 well into my fifties…i was stunted because of that adhd but of course had no idea as i was not paying attention!😆my current husband said a few things to me that set me off thinking and looking into myself and wow…..I went about five years of change and i morphed into a different person it seemed…I acted and looked like how in the charlten Heston movie the Ten Commandments looked aand acted after he went up to that mountain!😂🫨u wouldnt hardly recognize me……it was a stressful time and during that process of extreme learning a negative comment could have pushed me over the edge….I kind of kid about it jere but it wasnt funny….the good thing that came of that self examination was I see things …I see things and realize things I never did before…all the sayings…like ignorance is bliss…ect are true….i was much happier when I was ignorant but I wasnt put here to just stay dumb forever…nope! So your mom is correct..things and or people come into your life for a reason….! A lady has an asmr channel and she was struggling with her comment section and her husband had said just ignore it…but she just couldnt and was very torn up by some of the nasty stuff and there is some nasty people in the world…..the internet has definitely groomed this to an artform pretty much….like people just would say things on her comment section like pointing out she didnt have on plastic gloves while she made a sandwich and how they would never do that blah blah on and on.. so she ended up kinda getting a tougher skin but it took four years! Anyway, just know Marcy, im one of your biggest fans and you have put so much positive in my life!! Now im going to rewatch u make the bee and lilac mandal again…..( 17th viewing 🫣) take care!😁😁😁

Soooooo beautiful 💛 🐝 💛 Question 🙋🏻‍♀️ When you wiped off the mark lines the golden marker didn’t came off? I used golden metallic water base marker and when I wiped off the lines the golden color started to come off.

No this definatly did not come off. I used the brand Artistro Gold Fine Tip Marker Pens. I did make sure they were 100% dry, but nothing smudged off.
