Are we using the green bags again so another thing to buy? Provide us that if you want to mandatory implement.

0:09 That compost bin is filled with non-compostable trash 😆

This is stupid. Waste of money. No way to enforce it. People who compost will do it without being forced and people who don’t want to compost will never be compelled to do so. It seems like NYC has a lot more to worry about than this… how about keeping the criminals out.
@d-meth4 ай бұрын
The issue here is that a tenant might want to compost but the landlord doesn't. If the landlord didn't want to use this program nobody in the building could. Now they will be able to. As to enforcement it will be just like recycling. When recycling was new a lot of people were fighting it as well, now the vast majority is used to it (although many still can't do it properly).

@@d-meth this is just a way to invent a thousand high paying government jobs and waste tax payers money. People who really care about the planet and want to compost will do so. But everything is going to end up there…. Dog poop, cat poop, drugs, needles, etc. GROSS. Ya’ll do what you want and keep voting them morons into office. I live in Texas and yes I compost. But this is just moronic. Enjoy those politicians you have up there. lol

another bs excuse to fine people. yes composting can work. but none of this will. all of this, along with your recycle items, go all to the same place and get thrown into the same landfill.

I think it’s a great idea and I wish we had it here where I live. The only thing I don’t like is that it’s mandatory and people are going to be punished for not doing it. We don’t need garbage Police.

If the city picks up the trash daily or at least 3 times a week than Yes; however, this discomposing food will rot and the bad smells will be intolerable . Overall; the city should up their pick up schedule 3 times a week minimum and hire more Sanitation workers.

People who make under 75k should be entitled to apply for section 8 so they can afford an apartment. Income should be based on net income, not gross income, because people dont even see the money in gross income. Let's make America affordable again!
