Blues, jazz, gospel, and rock and roll. Does any of that ring a bell?
@unnst15 жыл бұрын
music and dance are probably an African invention.

Little Richard developed R&R from blues influences, not from whatever came out of Africa. R&R is a purely American art form.

A large amount of "Americans" descend from this tribe, myself included. You're welcome ;)

I've got a job, and it's very good- thank you for inquiring. And if you must know, I have been saving (slowly but surely) to take a trip to Gambia. Once again thanks for commenting ;)

Like I told you, pure Americana is where R&R came from. Absolutely no influence from Africa whatsoever.

Now, was that so hard? Even you can be civil. Carry on....

@Wohali1 I'm sorry to burst your bubble or your inflated American head but Rock and Roll comes from R&B, R&B comes from the Blues, the Blues comes from the old Negro Spirituals and the Negro Spirituals come from African Rhythms, so the root of R&R comes from the mother continent Africa.

So? Everyone who calls themselves "american" are from somewhere else, myself excluded. I was born here, as was my whole family from before when the europeans lived in caves.
@Wohali112 жыл бұрын
Yeah, Americans made this music, not Mandinka.
@sonicscreamingblue12 жыл бұрын
My point was, don't rag on Africa. A lot of Americans who have contributed to our culture (over the course of American history) have ancestry from Africa. You shouldn't make such ignorant statements. The person who cures cancer may very well be Mandinka. But I suppose.....you probably don't care. You just wanted to say something degrading smh.

I hate polka. I like hard rock like AC/DC, Rush, G&R, and classical like Motzart, Brahms, Chopin. You are a real joker saying these Mandinka clowns are an origin of anything. The only Black that made good music was Jimi Hendrix.
@Wohali112 жыл бұрын
You just want to argue. This noise is just that, noise. It has nothing to do with music in the us. Get a life and stop being a racist.
