I was sad that my son has decided to never have kids, but I got to thinking about it, and I'm not sad, anymore. Life is SO damn hard, why volunteer anyone for it? He said if he changes his mind, he will adopt someone already here.

I didn't think enough about him until you said, think about his disappointment going to see his mother. That turbed it all around for me. I could imagine once he got there to see his mother and he realized that she doesn't give a damn about him. The disappointment in his head must have been enormous

To walk into a Police Station and say Lock me up is a sign of being really TIRED. I WISH HIM THE BEST. IT WON'T BE EASY BUT I'M CONFIDENT HE'LL TAKE IT SERIOUSLY. I've been Clean and Sober for 19yrs come July. He can certainly do it. THANKS MANDOO. GREAT HEARING

After reaching out for help I was surprised with how many people (complete strangers even) who had my back! My number one piece of advice to anyone out there struggling with ANYTHING is you are not alone and you are certainly not the first person to go through whatever you are going through!!! With so many millions of people who have lived on this ball of rock and dirt, I can guarantee you that someone, somewhere has a story similar to yours. I know it is difficult to air your dirty laundry BUT it is the first step to getting the help you need. We have your back 💯

Chicken little, I hope you don’t mind but I screen shot your comment to help remind me it’s ok to ask for help, I’m a widowed mom with two boys and honestly, I have been struggling with keeping up with the place. I think your comment will help me, even if it wasn’t specifically meant for me.

@@lindsaynash3653 It was meant for anyone who has felt this exact way, hopeless and alone. I am happy it made an impact on you and I hope many others. It’s only by the Grace of God and a good experience with the social service system that I didn’t end up in a similar boat as him. My parents abandoned me at 19 months old and though I was tossed back to them a few times, I was finally able to find a great family. Although that all happened over 30 years ago it still leaves a memory. I really hope he not only gets treated for the addiction but that he can get some good counseling too. I wish there was a better way to help kids deal with that type of trauma.

How dare Mrs Jackson make those statements about his mother? I understand that he hadn't seen her in decades but kids always want the love of their parents.

He is sick and tired of being sick and tired. I truly hope this man has reached his breaking point. It broke my heart when he spoke about the woman who birthed him. She was never a mother to him. But for some reason it is our human instinct to long for that connection with our birth mother, no matter how horrible they may be. And I am sure his birth mother came from a dysfunctional family. She may not have been given the skills to be a good mother. Hopefully this man will break the cycle.

This hearing was very disturbing. Clearly the employees at the prison are ignorant. They were specifically asked to speak quietly to not disrupt the hearing three times. They have no respect for the Parole Board. All you could hear was braying like a donkey. The board should complain to whoever is in charge, if anyone.

I'm going to disagree with most people's comments. In my opinion - this guy is a master manipulator! From the first word out of his mouth. He conjured that story to dance around the truth. He gets out in July 2022 fails 4 drug tests, has a PO who is trying to help him. **4 dirty piss test in 3 months. Doesn't work even though it sounds like he could have. He then leaves the state and comes up with a heartstrings story about a mom he hasn't seen in years only to top the story off with her dying to oh she was incarcerated for 15 yrs and for all he knows she back in jail. Sorry, I'm not buying his story

I'm sorry but no treatment program will help him what he needs is someone to love and care for . that they will, in turn, love and care for him., he also needs a job and somewhere to live away from the temptation of drugs. He needs a purpose in life at the moment all he has are drugs to make him feel good and block out his miserable existence he reminds me of the other guy who was let down by everyone. He is one of the very few I do wish well
