Mandrel bending and crush bending stainless tubing

Great video.. why don't you use 409 for the flex bellows if it's a superior product for exhaust and less crack prone compared to 304?

The tubing is 409 on the ends and the 304 is the corrugated part. 409 is not made in the bellows because it's hard enough to find tubing.

There is No difference for small bends. THE QUESTION is At what degree does it start to kink. I'll bet you could do 45* bends just fine. Now for a give 16ga, the smaller the tube diameter, the greater an angle you can bend. If you are trying to bend 4" 16ga on a crush bender, well, what 5*? or 10* max. I'm having a terrible time trying to get a local exhaust shop to bend 1.5" 16ga 304 for my Datsun Truck where a 45* bend is all I would need and probably not that much.
