I’ve got one and ran it off of a solar generator and 2 100 watt solar panels it worked perfectly for 5 days it’s a vl 60/65 iceco I dindnt even use the insulated cover lol !!

I got mine for my off grid cabin I’ve got a propane full sized fridge freezer but propane is not cheap and Ivan run this vl 60/65 on solar for free on my solar system and solar generator or my trucks 12 vdc system lol it’s a no brainer this was brand new unit and I bartered for it I was the first one to plug it up and check it it worked great 👍😎

I received my Iceco VL60 about two weeks ago. It has the original latches. Either I got an older unit than yours or they switched back. So far, my testing and observations have been mostly with the fridge empty since I use it mostly for grocery store runs. I'll run it through its paces soon and look forward to seeing how it performs in a hot car. I'll eventually compare it to my Dometic CFX3-35. Take Care!

Interesting. I would have preferred the original latches. The fridge is still working perfectly though and I plan to remove the latches altogether in the spring.

Just got one but has the bent wire latch and 2 half size baskets on the refrigerator side and one on the freezer side.

I was about to laugh if you ripped that latch off. I like the new design more than the old design. It looks to be better built and seems sleeker. That fridge has a lot space inside and that makes it so heavy. I think the weight is also from the better quality.

If the plug of the car adapter isn't vented it will get very brittle.
