Honestly as it is this set is worth no more than $400. For $500 it should have: -included the entire skiff+sarlacc set -added a second skiff to complete the scene -fixed the clear shortcomings with the figures -added some more of the various aliens from the scene including more goons/skiff guards and Ree-Yees(just bring back the mold). As it is, I'm going to wait until this set and the sarlacc set are discounted enough for me to get them both for $450 combined.

@@akirahojo2 Well for once look for third party sellers, I saw a pre order at the pro shop in Germany for 399€. Second, if people actually wait, Lego will reduce the prices (which was the case on the buildable Chewbacca set). I'm hoping that people just bought it cos the lightsaber and the sales will drop down and we will see this set on sale soon.

I am absolutely of the opinion that this should have been treated more like a Master Builder Series set, getting similar numbers of minifigures with the Mos Eisley Cantina. There are so many unique background aliens that could make for really cool minifigures, but unfortunately Lego doesn't seem to want to tap into that well. I hope they make up for that with a MBS Jabba's Palace sometime down the line, because I'll be pretty disappointed until that day.

No, MBS are not ships or crafts and or vehicles. Yes the price is absurd but if you can’t afford it, find another cheaper hobbies. It’s been the same bitching all over the internet. It’s not a model of the whole damn scene. It’s the UCS sailbarge. I’ve said it before none of the other UCS sets came with secondary vehicle builds. Was the bunker and or snow speeder with the AT-AT? Did the replacement N1 starfighter come with the razor crest? Did the x wing and millennium falcon come as a joint set? No ✅, no ✅, no ✅.

Ironically the ones you said are just side characters that could easily be omitted are actually the main draw for me. I'm disappointed we didn't get more of the named guard characters. This was basically my favourite scene as a kid so a little project I had was making all the unique guards out of official parts. Very difficult to do so I was really hoping we'd get some good official ones with this set.

This really highlights the minifigure problem LSW has. This set and the accompanying Skiff set are both 10/10 in terms of build quality and looks but it's the completely unnecessary flaws in the minifigures that drag it down.

With the second skiff, five more background minifigures, and accurate C-3PO, Leia, Bib and Salacious B. Crumb, the price would be easier to swallow. As it is the only reason I bought it was for the lightsaber promo given that will be worth at least $100 given its limited availability and desirability. Otherwise I wouldn’t have paid that price.

Weird that they specifically say 3 of the figures are new. Only two of them are new characters so they don't mean it in that sense, but if they just mean new designs then it's also not true since I think the only reused figure is the Gamorrean. Also with Max Rebo yeah you're right about the colour change. I've seen a few other people who have exactly the same comparison.

I am so happy I left Lego Star Wars behind me. The four big Ninjago City sets, Barracuda Bay, the upcoming Adventures in Transylvania ... they all wipe the floor with these UCS sets. Hell if I sell all my Star Wars Minifigs we can buy Lego Sets for the rest of our lifes.

Ok so the Mos Eisley Cantina set is being discontinued at the end of this year...What we need now is a Jabba's Palace Master Builder set with the rest of Jabba's goons to fill out the roster (Ree-Yees, Squid-Head, Yakface etc.). Would be an immediate purchase.

This is probably the best Sail Barge, build wise. The minifigures aren’t horrible, but not great. I totally agree with the leg printing issues, and Bib’s headpiece. The Skiff Guards should include leg printing, especially omitting Woof’s waist cape. I did wish they included Kithaba in the skiff instead, since he doesn’t appear on the Sail Barge. I wish this set included Ree-Yees, Tessek, and Bossk. I would only get it, if you really like the Jabba scenes. Getting accurate minifigures, gets very expensive.

For $500 I think it’s a little bit overpriced because it has like 11 mini figures and we got like a set like a few years ago that was like $460 with 21 mini figure but other than that, it seems good
