Always wondered if vendors had issues with theft at these shows. So much is out in the open and 1-2 workers hard to keep track of everyone's sticky hands

Jyn Erso and Ryan go hand in hand! Those MOCs are incredible! And that fast food cup hanging on for its dear life from that car door is wild. Giving that kid a Steven-signed Lego set for free makes Ryan truly a god...respect from one legend to another. Here are some South Carolina facts: Greenville was established in 1797 and incorporated in 1831. Greenville's economy was formerly based largely on textile manufacturing, and the city was long known as "The Textile Capital of the World". The city has been the North American headquarters for Michelin, Synnex, United Community Bank, AVX Corporation, NCEES, Ameco, Southern Tide, Confluence Outdoor, Concentrix, JTEKT, Cleva North America, Spinx, Current Lighting Solutions, Prisma Health, and Scansource. When the former Donaldson Air Force Base closed in 1963, the land became the South Carolina Technology and Aviation Center. SCTAC has been the global home of Lockheed Martin F-16. Michelin, 3M, Proterra and Stevens Aerospace have major operations at the park as well. The land of present-day Greenville was once the hunting ground of the Cherokee. A wealthy settler from Virginia named Richard Pearis arrived in South Carolina around 1754 and established relations with the Cherokee. Pearis had a child with a Cherokee woman and received about 100,000 acres from the Cherokee around 1770. Pearis established a plantation on the Reedy River called the Great Plains in present-day downtown Greenville. The American Revolution divided the South Carolina country between the Loyalists and Patriots. Pearis supported the Loyalists and together with their allies, the Cherokee, attacked the Patriots. The Patriots retaliated by burning down Pearis' plantation and jailing him in Charleston. Pearis never returned to his plantation, but Paris Mountain is named after him. The Treaty of Dewitt's Corner in 1777 ceded almost all Cherokee land, including present-day Greenville, to South Carolina. The South Carolina flag is based off the Moultrie flag. In 1775, Colonel William Moultrie was asked by the Revolutionary Council of Safety to design a flag for the South Carolina troops to use during the American Revolutionary War. Moultrie's design had the blue of the militia's uniforms and a crescent taken from their cap insignia. It was first flown at Fort Johnson on James Island in Charleston County. This flag was famously flown in the defense of a new fortress on Sullivan's Island in Charleston County, when Moultrie faced off against a British fleet. In the 16-hour battle on June 28, 1776, the flag was shot down, but Sergeant William Jasper ran out into the open, raising it and rallying the troops until it could be mounted again. This gesture was considered to be so heroic, saving Charleston from conquest for four years, that the flag came to be a symbol of the Revolution, and liberty, in the state and the new nation. The palmetto was added in 1861, also a reference to Moultrie's defense of Sullivan's Island, as the fortress he had constructed had survived largely because the palmettos, laid over sand walls, which were able to withstand British cannon

I can't believe Ryan videotaped himself causing the extinction of sharks 😂 Impulse buying gummy sharks, "accidentally" walking into a lululemon, and having to stay up all night displaying every Star Wars minifig....truly MandR world problems. But YOOOO, they got the Airport Shuttle at 15:57! That's my dream Lego set, I really wish Lego re-released that one! Here's an interesting fact about Aldi: There are TWO German multinational supermarket chains named Aldi! The two Aldi brands have split Germany, with Aldi Nord (initially Northern West Germany), headquartered in Essen, and Aldi Süd (initially Southern West Germany), headquartered in neighboring Mülheim. Besides sharing the same name, they have different logos. The Aldi that expanded to the US is Aldi Süd. Why is it this way? In 1913, Karl and Theo Albrecht's mother opened a small store in a suburb of Essen. Their father was employed as a miner and, after asthma forced him to quit said job, later found work as a baker's assistant. Karl and Theo were born in 1920 and 1922 respectively. Karl Albrecht took over a food shop formerly run by F. W. Judt and later served in the German Army during World War II. In 1945, the brothers took over their mother's business and soon opened another retail outlet nearby. By 1950, the Albrecht brothers owned 13 stores in the Ruhr Valley. The brothers' idea was to subtract the legal maximum rebate of 3% before sale. The market leaders at the time, which often were co-operatives, required their customers to collect rebate stamps and to send them at regular intervals to reclaim their money. The Albrecht brothers also rigorously removed merchandise that did not sell from their shelves, cutting costs by neither advertising nor selling fresh produce and keeping the size of their retail outlets small. By 1960, there were 300 stores in Germany. The brothers split the company in 1960, reportedly over a dispute about whether they should sell cigarettes. Karl believed they would attract shoplifters while his brother, Theo, did not. This led to Theo running Aldi Nord, and Karl running Aldi Süd. In 1962, they introduced the name Aldi, short for Albrecht-Diskont, which translates into English as 'Albrecht Discount'. Aldi started to expand internationally in 1967, when Aldi Süd acquired the grocery chain Hofer in Austria. Aldi Nord opened its first stores abroad in the Netherlands in 1973, and other countries followed. In 1976, Aldi Süd opened its first store in the US in Iowa and in 1979, Aldi Nord acquired Trader Joe's. Besides the US and Austria, stores in the UK, Italy, Ireland, Hungary, Switzerland, Australia, and China fall under the Süd umbrella as well. The brothers retired as CEOs in 1993.
