I do know what you are going thru. In 1999 my wife had breast cancer and to help her recover we got 2 kittens that where sisters and looked just like Gracie, except much larger, named Jasmine and Daisy. The papers that came with them showed their birth date was March 11, which is my wife's birth date. My wife passed in 2012 and shortly afterwards Jasmine passed then 2 months later Daisy passed. I lost all 3 girls within a few months. Yes it takes awhile to get over the loses, as if we ever do. Pets are family. To this day I still find hidden treasures from those two girls. How they got those toys in some of those places will remain a mystery to me. With love from our house to yours. Tink!

The hardest part of losing a much-loved pet is the "new normal" that has to begin. Those thoughts of her in the kitchen begging for cheese, or looking out the window, etc., will bring tears at first, but will bring comfort in the future. I'll miss seeing Ms. Gracie on your videos. I cried when I found out. Pets only are here on earth for such a short time, but leave forever pawprints on our hearts. When I lost my silky Terrier Henry in 2013, I waited a couple months and then headed to the shelter to rescue a broken hearted lab/shep mix. Henry would have wanted me to give him shelter, love and the best food. It helped me get through the rough months ahead and our rescue is now almost 12 years. Leave your heart open. You know you can never replace her, but you can help another kitty feel all the love you have to give. Huge Hugs for your family during such a difficult time.

One of the hardest things about being a pet parent is having to escort our babies to the Rainbow Bridge. I've been to the foot of that bridge too many times to count, and my heart crumbles every time. There are a few times a furrykid headed off to that bridge without me. None of the "saying goodbye" process is easy. It's also incredibly unfair that our furrykids aren't here for our whole lives. (That's on my list of things to ask God about when I get to Heaven.) Honor and embrace the grieving process. It's not easy, it's not fun, but it's very necessary. Grieving is a healthy response to loss - and our whole body needs to move through that process. I loved watching Gracie Lou demand and collect the cheese tax. I'll miss her, too. Thank you for sharing her with us, and for allowing us to join you in saying goodbye to her. ❤

I , too, started sobbing…again. I lost my loving boy, Skye on Friday morning, September 20th. He was my ride or die Russian Blue who I had adopted after his human mother passed away when he was 5 years old. My boy had just turned 12 yo in August. We have had 3 of our babies pass in the last 3 years. They were around 15 years. Still hurting years later. We had a chicken pass in April. Even my hubby was devastated over these passings. He is a real tough guy (was in the marines) but he loves his pets. We adopted a papillon from my oldest daughter a month ago. And a chicken and a cat! I feel the heartbreak and the love. Yesterday I had watched Jessica Donohue and at the end she made a comment that made me think Gracie had passed. Later that night I had a dream that our Maltese, Samson, had met Gracie in heaven and told her "C'mon let me show you around, and take you to God's throne, all the cats including the big ones have a special praise that they do for Him, then I can show you to the meadow where all the cats play together and your new house!" I woke up bawling! This is the 3rd time I've seen my dog in heaven and he told me everyone I knew that was there! I miss him so much so my heart is breaking for you as well. However, knowing our pets are there too, makes it more comforting, and less painful. Love you all. 😺

In one of my dreams that my dog Samson came to me, and told me all about his house and that Jesus sometimes comes out to play with the children and the animals, sometimes He likes to play pranks in the animals and hide their toys on them. Or sometimes He lays on their beds with them. Samson told me that Jesus has all the big cats especially the lions and let the children ride on the lions backs and they can all play together in the meadow. It's such a special moment that I believe the Lord gives me with my fur baby, he was a very sociable dog, evidentally he still is! ❤

I’m not sure if I just needed a good cry today or I know the empty feeling of loosing a dear friend (animal),I hear and feel the sadness . Can’t see much of my screen through the tears but I hope you feel the love we are all sending your way . 🤍

The moment I saw the words Tribute to Gracie Lou I felt the saddness. My heart was also sadden with the news of my dear friend's death yesterday. Friends come in all forms, they make us smile, they hear our tears and fears, they comfort, they listen. I will miss our dear friend as you will miss Gracie Lou but how truly blessed our lives have been because of them. May memories sooth the hurt.

I'm over here crying over your loss. Gracie Lou has crossed the rainbow bridge, but will NEVER be forgotten. Prayers for you all during this very difficult time. We have a 15yr old PepperAnn dog that is nearing the end and I'm soo not ready or prepared. Our fur babies are true family, and we will always and forever love them. When I have a loss I always think of a special, happy, memory of the deceased. For your GRACIE LOU I imagine her hanging out in HEAVENS kitchen, and being fed bits of cheese.

I loved watching Gracie Lou get her "cheese fix" in many of your videos. So many of us understand the pain of losing our precious and beloved pets - they really ARE part of the family. When we lost our precious Jinxie cat back in 2016, the pain was so bad for a while. I had to remind myself that loving him and enjoying him for 12 years far outweighed the awful hurt of losing him. The LOVE won! Six months later we adopted Frankie who is 7 now, and yep, lots more kitty-love! Hugs to you all during this really tough time.

I am fortunate enough to have my vet as my neighbor. Over the years, he has always come to our home (or my parents, who are also my neighbors) when we needed hospice / end of life services for our pets. He even help one of our babies cross over down in our woods because it was her favorite spot. I could not ask for a better vet, neighbor and friend. I cried as soon as I saw the title of the video and all throughout the video. Gracie was a good girl. She was beautiful and demanded her spotlight. When I found your channel, I knew she was a senior kitty. I could almost bet that she was blind or at least legally blind. I have senior kitties (rescued them when they were 2 weeks old, bottle fed them and couldn't let any of them go). They are now 14 and one is starting to show her age. I'm holding on tight. A friend of mine told me she has pets, but she doesn't get attached... I'm not sure how she does that, but my kitties are a part of me. Like you, when you get out cheese, you'll always think of Gracie, when certain things happen after they are gone will always remind me of them. They are a permanent part of us. God bless you all.

Such a lovely tribute to your sweet Gracie Lou. You have all been on my mind so much these past days. I didn’t realize Gracie passed on the 17th, that was my Birthday. You all gave her the very Best cat life ever and she made your lives, and ours on KZbin so joyful and her memories will live on forever. Chewy is the Best Pet Company ever! They sent me a Beautiful flower arrangement when my 13 year old Alexie passed from Feline Asthma in 2022. Love and prayers to you all.❤️

Thank you Margaret for saying what I am sure we all feel. Grief is real for our fur family as it is with the human family. Little Miss Gracie was truly the star of many an episode. 1will miss her mews for munchies and squeaks for cheese. My Tink enjoys occasional cheese tidbits because of lil miss. My heart is broken along with yours ... and everyone's here. Soon as you opened the cabinet, I burst into tears for you. I now have five little boxes on my mantel, the last one arriving just a month ago. I SO get it. And I share your grief and pain. PERFECT quote from Margaret ... absolutely. Well I had to watch this. When I watched I had to watch it in bits and pieces I'm so thankful that you feel the love that all your viewers have for you add for Gracie. I cried when I saw your first post…. We have lost 2 dogs and our horse in 3 the last 3 weeks. Each of all our babies stay with us til the end…. Feeling extremely empty, their hearts are so huge, will never ever forget the many passed… gotta be a farm filled with all our kids. ❤💕👵🏽🙏🏽
