I didn't like the ELF Soft Glam either. I actually really DISLIKE a lot of ELF's releases in the last couple years. When people rave about them I think really 😅

I thought i loved it at first, and then i realized both shades I used were patchy and did not go well under finishing powder.

I don't care for the Elf soft glam either. It was patchy and made my pores stand out. Not a fan.

I agree. Honestly can’t stand the liquid blush, it sits so weird on the skin. I thought I was wrong since everyone kept raving & ended up buying 2 more shades-still no.

I'm with you on the E.L.F Soft Glam. People rave about it and I was swept up in the hype, but it just doesn't work well for me. I have very oily skin, and this foundation just breaks apart too badly before the end of the day on me. I stick with the L'Oreal Infallible and NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop.

I feel the same about the Pretty Smart and the ELF Soft Glam foundations. Both of them were formula fails that sat in a layer across my skin. Neither lasted, both looked thick and broken up. That's a NO for me, Dawg!

After years of trying to find a foundation that looks good on me, I gave it up. I remember a company that had a counter in department stores. The sales woman would match your skin perfectly. It was pricey but worth it. I use a colorless pore blurer/sunscreen, concealer, blush and something simple on my eyes and lips.

Mandy! Thank you! So helpful AND Entertaining. And succinct at 20 minutes. I scroll through my options of videos to watch and I see 30 and 45 minute long videos and I just can’t. Even if it is Vlogs of some of my favorite KZbinrs, I feel like people can say what they need to say about a specific topic in 20 minutes or less. And you did a nice job of it! I’m so glad you are saying those things about the more expensive palettes because I have serious FOMO. 🤪 I guess it’s all subjective. I will watch a 30 or 40 minute long gardening Vlog of one of my favorite homesteader lady’s so maybe it’s just the type of video! I love your hair, also and I am determined to try to do my own hair coloring and try to have more like your light blonde color. My last hair lady wanted $200 to do highlights and she didn’t even do the bottom half underneath, so I’ve got a giant , patch of no color underneath that I’ve let grow out, so maybe it won’t look so weird when I lighten it. Don’t get me wrong, when my hair was styled and down and straight out of the salon, it looked worth $200, but I just can’t do that, a bit like your $90 face palette situation. Lol.

LOL at the Hourglass palette... watching as a Canadian, I can only wish it was only $ 95! It's $ 122 for us, almost $ 150 if you add the tax 🤣 Luckily I don't like Hourglass, so that's not an issue for me, but the price is obnoxious!

Oh Mandy !, you think that Natasha Denona prices for her Midi palettes are expensive! I live in Canada, the price for me is $105 plus a 15% sales tax and also the shipping fee! It’s so not fair, she also puts different conditions especially since Sephora Canadian no longer carries any of her products either and when they did it was always out of stock!
@rebeccad520111 күн бұрын
She has increased the price to $110 CAD on her site. Which basically means she doesn’t actually wants Canadians to buy from her site. Same palette $89 on beautylish free shipping

I like wet and wild highlighter, those powder kind. I got my 8 year old the megaglo, I have the one with Marilyn Monroe on it and Alice wonderland one with different shades in the pan. I love them all. I am not a fan of elf eyeshadow, (like Elf brushes, blushes and the waterproof eyebrow pencil, I keep reaching and I don’t know why) prefer Wet and wild and hard candy’s and most Profusion’s shadows much better. I enjoy them more than ColourPop and Natasha Denona’s, which are stiff and difficult to work with Thank you for all the heads up can save me a lot of money and time. Will skip them
@lacialysia691311 күн бұрын
I recently bought my first 2 Natasha denona palettes and yeah i cannot go over that and i doubt I'll get another unless she comes out with another nude one or one the had the smooth shimmers not the glittery ones. Kinda like the huda palettes they just don't stay on my eyes hudas glitters. But Natasha denona does stay on my eyes so bc of that i would repurchase from her but i prefer what her older shimmers probably were. Like i got the re release of UD naked and i hate that they added glitter to sidecar! Its one of my fav shades in my dupe palette bc i never got the OG. I hate the glitter eyeshadow trend now. Its in everything! This was the worst time to get into high end eyeshadow bc they putting glitter in everything! If it's good I'll give it to them but i don't like it. Lol😂 revolution came out with patrick ta dupe and wow that glitter stays on my eyes for cheap af so there's no excuse for huda beauty. I have their rose quartz and the glitter combined with the cool mauve undertones makes it completely useless. My mom got it for me for Christmas a few years back so i can't really exchange or return it.

I was watching a video not too long ago about making eyeshadow palettes, and makeup products. It discussed the cost associated with it, and said the more intricate details on the packaging, the higher the cost is of the product. And the cheapest way to make a product packaging is to just have the name printed basically, on the palette, with no colors or anything. Since then I can’t help but see Makeup By Mario’s boring product packaging, and think, he did that the absolute cheapest way possible, for more profits. His packaging is not minimalistic, it’s cheap! I will never buy his expensive but cheap looking products
@Metalozyme2710 күн бұрын
I don’t understand being so critical of an eyeshadow palette for features you can see before buying. You can tell before hand that it’s all matte and all neutrals (it’s literally in the name). It’s kinda like ordering chicken at a restaurant and then being pissed it doesn’t taste like beef.

Please check the ingredients in your makeup....some contain very deleterious ingredients which are not checked by the FDA. Some high end lipsticks contain lead. Silica is another one you must watch out for......it is a neurotoxin and can cause much trouble. Thankyou.

What are you even talking about. Like none of those are made in Mexico or Canada. Just gotta get a political comment in, huh?
@Larry-qw3rp9 күн бұрын
@ what I am talking about are all the natural resources Americans have received from Canada. Let,s talk about water . Or electric grid from dams let’s talk electricity to save California a few years back. Do you have any idea how much crude oil is sent from Canada to the US. Do you have any idea how many board feet of lumber comes from Canada. Let alone cedar shakes and and other wood products. Many provinces are tired of sending their natural resources to the USA By the way havesz fun getting your car out of Mexico along with parts for their all the vehicles. They have been very profitable in many many ways. If Trump or any Cronies think they can run the USA without help they are dead wrong. I am a senior running on a pension without cost of living and social security. My health care cost almost 800.00. I may loose my house or get renter. I have my passport ready. My son and I both Canadian passports. Far away from the crazies. It is a shame. I love the USA but Trump and his ex cons and minions need to go.
