Had this equipment on a bulk carrier, even in port the deck vibrations were barely tolerable to be able to grind accurately. At sea forget it, a waste of space.

Forgot one thing. The valve was not cleaned first! this will allow dirt and other things around it? one good thing is it is an exhaust valve... still it should have been cleaned before it was put in the grinding machine...And then cleaned again...And wiped down before installation. Other than that good job,

Die Auflagefläche ist eine Dichtfläche und darf keine Beschädigungen aufweisen ❗ Im Hamburger Werk machen wir das genauer so das alle Flächen zueinander laufen ❣ Bei dem W-Sitz könnte es Probleme geben. Die Sitzfläche muss zu den Planflächen laufen und die Toleranzen zu den jeweiligen Flächen müssen eingehalten werden denn es ist nicht getan das man nur die Sitzfläche geschliffen wird 🙈🧐❗

Beim Ventilkegel könnte ich mich schieflachen ! 15 Hundertstel bewegt sich der Zeiger der Meßuhr und da frage ich mich wieviel man dann von der Sitzfläche abschleifen will ? Der Kegel ist in keiner Zentrierung am Boden der Vorrichtung und die Sitzfläche muss zum Schaft maximal 3 Hundertstel laufen ! Nicht alle Teile kann man so einfach schleifen und hoffentlich machen Sie auch noch die Rissprüfung sonst geht der Kegel schneller kaputt als gedacht 🙈🤔🤣😁😂❗

Unless the valve is worn, burnt, bent, warped, or was cut off center last time, the new valve face should coincide with the old one. Chucking the valve on a dirty valve stem like this is bad practice. The machinist could see from the dial indicator that the valve was not rotating evenly.
