Hi Kurt. Get some antibiotic into the baby and wash with dilute iodine,his immune system might not cope. My hen had her belly ripped open bout the size of a 20c piece and 1 of her organs hanging out. She wouldnt eat because it hurt too much to defecate. Gave her Soluvite D in water via tube. Antibiotic and bathed with iodine, 10 days later all healed. Best of luck

Morning Kurt, you can lift the nest boxes so that you can user the bottom one. Put some Vaseline on the scratches. It will heal soon.

I had a pair of faintails on eggs, a couple of days before they were due, a hawk took the hen. The cock still managed to hatch one and raise it until about a week, then he started to pair up with a new hen. because the baby was still in the nest bowl and the new hen wanted the bowl, she pecked the baby's eye out. he's still doing ok now but will never be able to see out of that eye.

That breeding cage isn’t bad at all mate but if you just turned the front opposite around so you can push it up and hang it will be better I think so you can use it as a penn or breeder cage

You have already said his name 'lucky lad'. The Roller that I feed is getting quite tame now and loves sunflower hearts which he takes readily from my hands. I feel sorry for him because he has no luck with the hens though, I'm sure the pigeons will like their new luxury pad when you pair them up.

It's okay Maney 🙏😇 just hand easier him or her to be your most take bird in the loft. Due to the training lol might become the top leader in the group like stom whom knows her loft very well so due to that while on training toss you will never lose a bird . Maybe one out of ten but more then better .

The new breeding box looks great. I'm just worried the hight of each compartment might be too low for when the birds want to mate. This might cause infertile eggs. As for the hurt baby. How about "Scar" as a name 😀
