the pan mechanism is stuck. can't use the pan drag system. any solutions?

Did you just buy it like that? Make sure the wheels are not locked

Nice clear video, thanks! I'd like to shoot panos with my eye to the optical view finder. Further, I'd like to use my camera grip to adjust the tilt and pan. The question I have is this, can you move the camera far enough back on the flat top to get your eye to the optical view finder? I have good ball heads but they just aren't smooth enough, and are difficult to keep on the same plain when panning our tilting so I'm considering a fluid head.

I have a MH502 flat head. The trpod fell down and the tripod head broke off from the tripod, The 1/4' to 3/8" insert was broken and stuck inside the tripod head. How to I remove the damaged insert from the tripod head? What tripod you using with the head?

Aviatorspot Sometimes they sometiget stuck just by trying to remove the tripod heads and so for that I take a flat head and tilt it at and angle and than turn. I use different heads depending on what I use it for.

@@OmarHamati I tried the flat blade screw driver but just too tight to remove cos the insert was sheared off when the tripod head hit the floor!

I prefer the 500AH. No need to slide the plate into place it simply drops in. Far easier.
