1. How many volumes do I have? I believe around 520ish
2. How long have you been collecting? It's been a little over a year - I started in November 2020
3. How much have you read? I have read probably around 75% of my collection. I try to be very intentional with reading my series!
4. Why do you have a lesser volume count than the last haul? Recently I really went through and purged my collections of series I didn't love, wouldn't re-read or if a better edition is getting released (The Girl From the Otherside as an example). Soul Eater is one of my favorite Shonen manga with D.Gray-Man. Is getting better over time and yes definitely read the manga over the anime.

I’ve just started to read it, finished the first 5 perfect editions and I love it. I hate having to wait for the rest of them to publish since the entire series is already out. Same with the deluxe editions of Berserk, they should just release them all.

@@InfamyOrDeath-__- Ohhhh I also have those editons but only 1 to 4 I miss the last one. I plan on buying 5 and 6 together once 6 drops (what should be soon). Trust me if you want to read it physically the perfect editions are the way to go! They have 10/10 page print quality and the artwork the colors everything pops is like reading 4K manga scans in physical form with perfect blacks and background whites.

At least I can re read it now, support the manga and own the BEST version what the manga will probably ever get.

I've wanted to read Slam Dunk for soo long too, luckily my local library actually carried the entire series 1-31. I read it, I loved it, Slam Dunk really is goated. Owning it would be cool but just getting to read all of it for free physically really was a treat.

Kaiju no 8 is the most fun I had reading a manga so far without to much spoilers that kaiju suit scene had me laughing hysterically, definitely hungry for more volumes to come out.

You haven't watched Akira? You should check it out. It has the best animation in anime. Better than any Ghibli film. It is compared to the quality that Disney animation movies have. I definitely recommend.

If you're only 120 chapters into One Piece, you are in for a treat. It gets really good. I was skeptical going into it, but at about 600 chapters in currently I can say it has taken the top spot with ease

Yeah I collected Psyren when I was younger as the volumes came out and loved it - the reason why the ending isn't great is because it got cancelled by shonen jump and cut short due to it not being popular enough- so he was told to wrap it up

Hearing good things about Soul Eater. I hear it is connected to fire force and I love fire force. I love Demon Slayer, but I don't know who could possibly be giving you any bad remarks about demon slayer. It's so good. Can't believe you don't watch the anime after reading the manga, you get to see it in live action. But Demon Slayer is probably one, if not the best animes of 2022 so far. The fight scenes are amazing and the heart in it with tanjuro are epic. Im also a dragon ball super fan too. Vinland saga is also dope. Great video

I'm curious if you know Ghost Hunt. Despite the genre being Shojo, it is supernatural and some of the cases are terrifying depends on person. It is OOP but the lowest I've seen each volume is roughly $22-$48. It's also a complete series with 12 volumes (idk if the last volume is translated in English tho, but I know 1-11 is).

I was going to collect manga and collected volumes, but after it started building up, I decided to only keep what I plan on rereading. Which actually only accounts for, maybe, 10% off what I read. Of all the manga I read, I am only keeping Dorohedoro and Berserk so far.

Battle Royal also has a novel aswell, I read it. It's kinda dark, but if your used to mature content, it's meh. Not sure if the manga does it differently from the novel though. My guess is the novel is watered down xD
