I am also one of those that people consider too honest. I refuse to compromise my honesty though. People hate me for it, so be it. They have no obligation to be around me, nor do I demand it. How can you possibly call “popping a balloon” and “plotting a revenge plan” twisted? Just because you popped a kids balloon doesn’t make you twisted it just makes you an asshole, and if you plot out a revenge scheme on someone because they pulled a prank on you that just means you were Angry and possibly spiteful. Besides making the person who pulled a prank on you fall in love with you is very common or to make them regret. But I did enjoy the bit at around 9:46 of them pulling the sheet off your head to show you how he actually is

Him seeing a crying kid, crying about her balloon, which he OFFERED to help get down, only to pop it RIGHT in front of her, smiling and all, while that is an asshole thing to do, can also be considered twisted, due to him ENJOYING doing that. If he were just an asshole, he probably would've just shrugged off the kid and continued walking after acknowledging her. Twisted can be applied on any severity. Hell, planning that revenge plan can ALSO be seen as twisted, seeing as it was his IMMEDIATE decision on what to do, regardless of whether or not he knew of her true intentions. If he stuck with his plan, he would acknowledge that she fell in love, only to ruthlessly break her heart, which he'd enjoy. That, is twisted.

Honestly. The ending more than made up for the shock value of the balloon and the twist of the truth of the events that time, it was really wholesome and both became honest with themselves and to each other thanks to events like that and the ferris wheel. Plus Selena keeping the necklace Daisuke bought for her after the first date all the way to the end was so beautiful and amazing to see, it really showed just how much she loved Daisuki and wanted to truly be with him.

That was really messed up of what Daisuke did to the kid’s balloon. On the other hand I don’t blame him for having that mindset regarding the confession. Most of these confessions are targeted at introverts to make fun or hurt their feelings. Why would a girl suddenly confess to you? It does sound suspicious . I would also assume it’s a prank if a girl suddenly confessed to me. He realized what he was doing was awful so he broke things off expecting Selena to forget about him but she actually fell for him hard and even quit becoming an idol to be by his side. Hmm... I think this MC is pretty interesting in terms of his thoughts. As for the FMC, she seems way too airheaded in creating a believable "fake confession". Although what she did was still wrong in terms of playing with a guy's feelings, It seems that she was indeed sincere in her apology and it takes lots of courage to own up to your mistakes. As they spend more time together, she grew to see the MC for his strengths and began respecting that about him, eventually falling in love with him. Breaking up with her was a good way to bring her to her senses on her errors and it allowed her to properly understand her feelings.

Honestly, I have strongly mixed feelings about Daisuke. It's one thing to get back at a girl for asking you out as a prank. It's another thing to pop a little kid's balloon just because you can. Yes, he gave her more balloons right after, but that still doesn't excuse making the poor kid cry harder. If there's one thing you never do, it's make kids cry, especially if you get a laugh out of it. Whether or not you make up for it right after, it still makes you a terrible person in my book. I can only hope that Selena makes him a better person as time goes on.
