So, the parents wanted to get Yuki out the mindset that "Yuki should repay them", and yet they did it by taking advantage of his "Yuki should repay them" mindset to set him up for a marriage of convenience (that, unbeknownst to him, was not) to someone he never met (in which that same person, Hana, broke up with her ex of 5 years). Kinda ironic and a little messed up, don't you think?

@@sujitsivadanam there's a saying that by the time a woman decided to break up with you, they already have decided of it a long time ago, you just didn't know, and by the time she told you, it is pretty much just a formality. I really find creepy first, How he married without knowing the bride. How did the bride start flirting with him in just one day, he must feel uncomfortable. Maybe because she has had too much experience of relationships in the past. Honestly speaking I would avoid this marriage as much as I can, if marriage is inevitable I subconsciously avoid her, going home I would try as much as possible to directly confront her. And eventually get divorce. Big salute to this guy , I can't fit in his shoes. But I don't personally like the story, if a person doesn't want romance don't push him. Especially with someone who had dated someone for such a long time. Because he would always be a second option for her. Also if someday her ex comes back then it is inevitable to avoid being NTR. Loneliness is better than Cheating in a relationship. And this type of girl who basically forces him to be with him. I find it more common if he gets NTR. Dating for 5 years with ex and lived life at fluent, so why is she restraining him. 😐 I don't like this story at all. What is the meaning of marrying a woman whom you never met. Also it would be great if she had feelings for him but clearly doesn't have any, all she did is use her previous experience to win the heart of that man. But MC was just the second option for her to move on from her ex. I find her horrible. I would have filed for a divorce when she told me about her. 🤬🤬🤬🤬
@darthbiker23113 күн бұрын
I'm not qualified to lay out the little I know of the quirks of Japanese dating culture that makes this story still plausible. But imagine hating the story so much you felt compelled to write an entire essay about it. MC is workaholic, driven by guilt, emotionally repressed, and a whole lot of factory defects. He isn't ideal, but he's not a bad guy either. It is what it is. How else do you expect him to be happy? By forcing him to be like _you_ ???

While I do like the wholesomeness of the characters themselves, I didn't like the idea of a sudden marriage to someone he never met. Also, if it was hard for him to date, why not get a female friend to live with him. Sure, he'll be shy, but at least the friend can help him overcome his shyness (things that friends typically do), and when he does, he'll probably develop feelings for her. They can start dating, and he can experience the thrills of being a boyfriend (which will further lift off the burden he put on himself).
@barken1358 Жыл бұрын
Boys will cry while men will suffer. That is pretty much how we guys work. As you get older u start to feel this need to bottle all your thoughts and negative emotions, until, one day, it will all come pouring down. This is mostly because we grow with the mentality to not show weakness and that we need to be the strong ones in any situation no matter how dire. So, in the end, while the bottle is getting full, our depression also grows(not in all cases though).

0:38 - Hahaha... so marriage is the first step? "I'm not mature enough to get married, let alone get a girlfriend." The 'let alone' phrase is the same idea as 'never mind' used in that context. Basically, ' I can't complete step one, never mind step two.' Or, 'I can't complete step one, let alone step two.' Step one is get a girlfriend, step two is marry her. So, the proper phrasing would be, "I'm not mature enough to get a girlfriend, let alone get married." To fill out the sentence more, it would be, "I can't even get a girlfriend, let alone get married." Eh, but 'liquid language' and all that... I mean, decimate is no longer only 10% (deci = 10, like decimal system). So, these days, "I can't even decimate, let alone devastate" means the same as, "I can't even devastate, let alone decimate."

His adoptive parents in over 15 years have failed to make him understand that he should live his own life and not live to pay them back. In extremis they decide to go all out with an imposed marriage. Luckily he immediately begins to feel something for her whife and at her revelation he is now ready to declare his love for her. There were so many things that could go wrong with the plan. - He could have gone away from them when they told him, thinking that for them he was now a burden; - He could accept the marriage of convenience but limit any contact with his wife and after a few months divorce and leave; - He could accept marriage but not develop feelings towards his wife; - He could accept the marriage, not fall in love with his wife and a few months later, at work meet the woman of his life (who he could not have seen in order not to divorce and cause possible problems for his parents); - after marriage the wife could realize that it was not what she thought and divorce; Surely his parents decided to do it because they knowing him thought it was the best for him to do. But maybe they could put him in front of an engagement (with them living together) that would lead to marriage in the future. So they could get to know each other without forcing him to feel so obliged.
