Welp, looks like Taiji has to forget about the promise with Sayaka's dad and date her for real while considering the option to avoid him at all costs. His overprotectiveness is literally annoying to the point he is the barricade that prevents both of them to date for real.

I hate Sayaka's father. Both him and Taiju made a promise back then to protect his daughter until she becomes an adult but the moment he saw Sayaka and Taiju on the bed, he misunderstood the situation and thought he did some innapropriate things to her when in reality she only asked him to sleep together with her since she's scared of being alone. MC should break the promise, date Sayaka for real and the father should apologize for the misunderstanding.

what did i tell ya? kanon did 2 episodes of this. one from last month (having the same thumbnail art) called "I was supposed to protect her until she was an adult, but she likes me so much and..." and 4 months ago called "My childhood friend's father said I could marry his daughter if I protected her, but...". you know the crazy part is? BOTH THE AYASAKI-SAN DUO VO ACTORS collabed together at the same time. what are the odds of getting this same drawing style from 2 days ago? talk about unexpected and this thumbnail here (speaking of) comes around from 8 days ago. the panels look like from also a month ago on kanon with the same thumbnail art called "I'm in love with the reserved girl at work... One night during a business trip, she..." mixed with 10 months ago here called "Shy boy becomes friends with a pretty boy, but finds out that actually..." and a year ago called "[Manga Dub] I lost my memory after an accident, and woke up to a girl who claims to be my girlfriend". 7:32 the way she says "bye bye" is like hearing her from sekai no fushigi all over again. 16:00 "my daughter wasn't crying, i started crying instead..." 🤣🤣🤣🤣 16:50 "i'll get rid of this hyena for you" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 just like kanon all over again as i've said this before. but the only difference added in was taiju laying in the same bed with minami very much like how this fmc from again, kanon from 8 months ago called "One day, a childhood friend came over to live with me, but she is a TSUNDERE" i see minami rocking that trendy hairstyle like i've seen this not too long ago and she looks familiar as well. by the way, this is the 3rd time having this plot. 3rd time being here and the first two from kanon.

Sayaka has every right to be furious at the situation. Her father is literally ruining her life with his stupid, outdated notions of "purity". Young adults have a unique opportunity to make memories together that cannot be had later in life, something I well understand since I too dated and married my childhood friend. The time we spent together in high school and college comprises some of our sweetest and most intense memories together and it part of the tie that binds us so strongly. You do not own your children. Of course it's normal to be concerned about them, but a good parent would have a serious conversation about how to explore intimate relationships safely. Instead of trying to lock them up, teach them their value and give them space to make mistakes. A bird that cannot spread its wings will never learn to fly.
