This is why when I buy a house, I don't want any trees nearby. Certainly none close enough that they could damage the house if they fall over. People have told me that trees provide shade so that the house won't get too hot during the summer. However, with AC, I can deal with a little more heat, but I don't want to risk my house being destroyed by a falling tree. We have that happen a lot here in north Georgia. It's on the news a lot.

There's also some other things that you didn't consider mentioning as well, such as trees that are being caught on fire by wildfires, as well as volcanoes. I lived in Southern California briefly, and wildfires are all too often a common occurrence there. Where I was living at the time was even covered on the news around 2011/2012, and every single news helicopter that was there was over the area, as well as the aircraft that was supposed to put out the fires.

For example: Tigers imitate the sound of their prey, presumably to decrease wariness; Tigers have been known to remain standing on all fours even after death; Cheetahs are the only "big cats" that aren't "panthers". Wait I just realised something. If the building is considered historical why was no official governmental funding for it available for it to get fixed? Does Japan not have such a law like that? Like here in the UK if a building or site is considered historical there’s a lot laws in place to keep them maintained. One law if a person ends up damaging the historical building or site in anyway it can lead towards a very heavy fine bad enough so if you can’t pay for it you will be facing jail time, another thing is if the historical building or site is damaged the government has to step in a pay for its repairs (at least that’s what I remember from what I have read about this type of law but I could be wrong in a few things) I’m surprised that Japan doesn’t have such a law.

I think that Japan DOES, in fact, have historical site preservation laws, and that they also apply to buildings. The things that immediately come to mind would be The Law for the Preservation of Cultural Properties, Preservation Districts for Groups of Traditional Buildings, and Cultural Properties, a.k.a., tokyo. Two agencies are responsible for such things, namely, The Agency for Cultural Affairs and The Japanese Association for Conservation of Architectural Monuments.
