The whole premise of the video makes no sense given how the writer chose to make her act in the moments leading up to the turning point. Going from utter disgust to complete infatuation with just one time of him making the food out of potentially many times (logically speaking).

In the story's defense the parents only got remarried "this spring" and it seemed like the Mom was cooking 99% of the time since he only did it when the parents were gone for some reason or another. So it is possible she hadn't seen him cook it ever or in years.

The fastest was to Wakana's heart was through stomach. It was her favorite food that Yoshiki made that reminded her of her late mother Haruna that brought them together. And thay really did look like a couple as Yoshiki taught Wakana how to make omelette rice. Wakana did say she was okay with marrying Yoshiki and teaching their kids how to make omelette rice. They do make for an adorable and wholesome couple.
