While Ryouya was pretty much dragged along into everything, from watching the girls play, to then having Akane force him to play for something he didn't want in the first place, it seems things worked out for the best, since it gave him a reason to play again. Now Akane has a partner in the game, and in their personal lives, that can make her better. And now he no longer has to be alone, so he wins as well. The match between Akane and Ryouya was intense. You could feel the excitement build up. Even though Ryouya, Akane was better than her like he said. Ryouya was injured two years ago so he might have been a little slow compared to Akane. I’m pretty sure Akane challenged Ryouya because she knew who he really was and was trying to testing but man she’s pushy. She had already planned everything if Ryouya won the match. Like she said she gets whatever he wants and Ryouya can’t do anything but go along with it. I do like these concepts. MC is secretly OP in sports or strong but wants to live a peaceful life without anyone knowing who he is. It would be nice if the MC wasn’t a pushover cause Ryouya felt like one but in his situation it was avoidable because he got forced into it. Overall great story

This is great. Im a competitive varsity tennis player but it was a rocky road getting to where I am. Back in the day, I was a very competitive player, but consistent losses in the top league left me demoralised. I kept playing, but lost my edge. I sank down to being unranked. However, my family (including my great cousins, one boy and two girls) managed to bring me back to playing by asking me to teach them. Long story short, I rediscovered my passion, and I was really rooting for the MC here, reminds me of how someone I didnt know could help me really brought me back.

Why do i kind of relate this?! It was around 7th grade highschool that i started playing tennis again since i only played tennis for a year, my classmate who's coincidentally a girl saw me early in the morning practicing by hitting the ball off the wall, she sorta challenged me since she thought i was a beginner, 1 match later i served so hard her that when she tried to hit the ball with one hand the force of the ball knock the racket out of her hand and she was surprised and caught off guard before i tokd her i used to play tennis

With him back in the game, there's definitely be some restructuring to the power dynamics of the school. Akane and her posse will be knocked down a lot of pegs and she'll have to keep practicing to try beating him. But once he's gotten back into the swing of things, he'll be unbeatable and she'll have awakened a demon lord of the sport. At which point all chances to beat him have faded into nothingness.

So the tennis team using their "girl power" wants to make the boys pay for watch them practice tennis. Great I'd say. The captain realized that the boy was not fasting in tennis from how he held the racket and for this reason he decided to play an entire set. Probably as the protagonist says to take advantage of his lack of training and make him tired and be able to win or with the hope that he was good and therefore be able to take advantage of him in another way. She doesn't care if he might have physical problems in playing and that despite this he felt obliged to do so to avoid problems (she threatens him twice to talk to the teachers to convince him to play as much as she wanted). Only at the end, when he tells her that he had stopped because he was injured, she question whether he was fine now. What would the girl have done if the tearful protagonist had answered her "I don't know. But I'm afraid that this hard and long game may have aggravated my situation and I may be forced to not be able to play anymore." And instead conveniently he is perfectly healed from the previous day. So he actually watched the girls practice because he liked the sport he couldn't play (as there is no boys team in the school). The protagonist would therefore have deserved an apology from the whole team that forced him to a punishment. But no, his only reward has been that he can resume playing by training with the girl... and then become her boyfriend.

Funny little story with some good narrative effort incl. a "tennis battle of the sexes" allusion (there are famous historic examples), Perhaps, the sudden tennis match situation out of nowhere is a bit over the top, but I appreciate that the writer did make an actual effort to represent tennis quite real (I am a former tennis elite player).
