I see two positives in this video. 1) There is work happening along this complete stretch which is good. I never saw these many construction trucks and equpment working in this stretch where contractor is Rajkamal Constructions and 2) they are building a retaining wall with boulders and cement which was not done earlier giving rise to landslides. Hope this work gets done by next monsoon.

Hiring 5-10 labourers, 2 JCB, 3 Barbending works for such a big project doesn't make any sense and neither it will complete anytime soon.. There should be atleast 400-500 labourers and skilled workers to complete this project at the earliest

Has the Govt taken the consultation of an expert agency to widen the roads in these areas? I have been on this stretch 2 years ago and most of it still looks to be in the same condition.
@seeingisbelieving1016Ай бұрын
These things might have been considered at DPR stage.. But subsequent major landslides due to heavy rainfall & reckless cutting of nearby hillocks might have added to worsen the situation still more ..! Thanks for your concern & the comment😊

Modiji,Gadkariji ,siddaramaiah , Hassan MP , Mangalore MP and local MLAs please use your common sense.allot some money to put one fresh coat of tar to the existing 2 lane highway and make it motar able for present day users.then build world class highway in 22nd century for the users of that century.

Literally they have eaten the hills with chopping unscientifically.In past we have seen Shiradi and Wayanad landslides which was mainly due to unscientific hills chopping and ultimately during heavy rains we witness its effect.In ghats they could have alternative plan only to maintain smooth commute of traffic without any blocks.If you give wide roads and vacant spaces public will take a advantage and destroy the ghats by littering.Once u see ghat rail route how polluted it is.For us first schools and colleges have to teach basic manners,cleaniliness and etiquettes.We are simply destroying any place in the name of development and economy.We require sustainable and scientific development.

The construction method chosen is faulty. The route requires a lot of viaducts and if possible tunnels. Hill cutting is a slow process. Need to take inspiration from China on how mountain highways are done. They extensively use viaducts and tunnels. This also keeps the highway safe from landslides and prevents massive destruction of ecology. Western ghats is supposed to be a UNESCO world heritage site, yet we see massive destruction here.

Had to travel in this route yesterday from Mangalore to Hassan.. Condition of road is pathetic in some stretch.. I'll try to explain it in simple way in my view... Work is really hard as it's not plain land and it doesn't seem to be an easy one so whatever the work is done should be appreciated. But where it went wrong? Even before 4 years and simultaneously till date work progress is soo slow.. For such a long distance work we can see 2 people doing Barbending work, 1 jcb for 5 kms, less number of workers gathering at a place to carry mud.. Etc etc.. It seems like same number of labourers contribute to build a house.. What should have been done? They should have been in fast track work.. They should have hired atleast 500 labourers in seperate section including Civil workers, more JCB operators, Concrete supply, Barbending workers.. This could have finished in 1 and half to two years

@seeingisbelieving10162 ай бұрын
Thanks Mr Ganesh for watching Seeing is Believing. The Shiradi Ghat stretch of NH75 has been closed for up to 6 months in the past: 2018: Shiradi Ghat was closed for heavy vehicles for SIX MONTHS 2022: Some stakeholders were upset about the six month closure to repair a 10 kms stretch of the road The Shiradi Ghat stretch of NH75 is often closed or unsafe during monsoon due to work on the Highway. There have been incidents of landslips on the road, which have led to restrictions on vehicles. Closure for a few days are very much common. Thanks for sharing your thoughts 🙏
