Mangalore Express bus journey 🔥 | Mangalore to Udupi | Volvo Overtakes😳

A long pending journey of mine finally done. Always loved these express buses of Mangalore & Udupi. Finally got to make a video on it. Great crew and bus driving. We were lucky to catch Canara Pinto Starz & KSRTC Ambaari on our way. We actually overtook them as well. I just love their driving and the honk. These buses are quite famous actually for their driving and service.
Mangalore to Udupi takes approximately 90 minutes and the fare is Rs.95. You can actually choose which bus you want to go in and sit in tht bus directly.

This is the new Mangalore Bus Stand for private buses . Earlier it was located quite close to Poonja Hotel. This service is managed with corporate efficiency and unlike in other places where private buses start only when they are full these buses strictly follow a time schedule which makes them very reliable. Last month I took a bus to Udupi from the same place shown in this video and the bus started with just 3 passengers but picked a lot more on the way. I would say this is the best private bus service in the entire country and the buses are also well maintained.

Exactly ... I used to know a driver in APM called Arunanna from Vandse. He was literally Luis Hamilton of Udupi Mangalore, I'm talking about the days of 1996 - 2000 when there were no restrictions for express buses. First arrival will get all passengers in the stop - you can imagine how fast they used to drive. Those collage days were golden, never got into a bus since 2002. Every time I visit India/Udupi, I recall those sweet memories when a bus passes-by...

I had been in one like 5 years back. Durgamba motors Super Express departs by 3:56pm and reach Udupi by 5:02pm... Superb driving, the bus use to overtake 5 express buses in the route.

One thing is mandatory while travelling in this buses is that you should know is Hanuman Chalisa, while travelling in this buses. You are lucky that you are travelling in 2023 in these buses where speed is lot reduced where now they maintain around 90-100Km/hr, During 2004-2005 they used to travel in 120-140km/hr that too with Dabbba Ashok Leyand and maintain this speed continuously throughout till udupi. previously travel time to Mangalore-udupi was within hour around 55 minutes, Now i think its gone up to 1hr 20 minutes.

It's caters Expess Buses from Udupi towards Mangalore, Kundapura, Byndoor via Kundapura, Karkala-Hebri via Manipal and some shuttle trips for Panchayat towns like Shirva, Belmanu, Pethri Brahmavara. Newer generation buses and roads are both safe with separate lanes on highway for to and fro traffic. When the HW was just 2 lanes, many of the earlier generation bus drivers were Vijay Deenanath Chauhan (Agneepath) fans ...maut ke saath mera appointment hai..hain 😂I used to travel by smaller bike (110cc) on this route for almost a year, twice a week. I always used to get of the way quickly, whenever I saw Anand Travels and APM, names in my side mirror 😁
