I think Leorio will be the MC of the DC arc if we make it as readers since he’s the last of the original trio that hasn’t really had his time to shine in an arc but, Ging could also be the MC since he hasnt really been explored either. Maybe they find something that helps Gon/advance their corresponding fields of study.

I think both Kurapika and Leorio have a reason to go - Kurapika got the dirt on Tserriednich in exchange for accompanying the Zodiacs to the Dark Continent, and Leorio needs the experience under Cheadle to get his medical license.

In Kurapikas troupe you forgot to metion, that maybe Hanzo also has an motivation. In den Hunter Exam Arc we learn, that he wants to become a Hunter, because he wants to search for the legendary Hermit´s Scroll. That sounds a lot like it could be something Dark Continent related

After the dark continent, kurapika and leolo might come back to a world where gyro has is goal destroy humanity by a (disease). Since leole is the only protagonist with a goal of helping people in need he might be the one fighting that disease and gyro instead of gon. Leolo is studying with cheadle on the black whale. Most of the crew including cheadle will die and the only one with enough knowledge on medicine and cure will be leolo since all the other protagonist had their goal, he is the only left so the next arc might be focus around him and gyro
