Scuba Diving @ Havelock Island, Andaman

The highlight of our trip to Andaman Islands was Scuba Diving in Havelock Island. The best thing is, it can be done by non-swimmers too.

+Chandrasekar Thodla Hi. They first give you 20-30 mins training for handling it. No worries. It is not difficult at all. And you will enjoy it more since you don't swim. Swimmers tend to go up. We non-swimmers sink :). We are always with a trained scuba diver. Go ahead and enjoy.

When you will go to port Blair you have to take a cruise from port Blair to Havelock when you will reach Havelock jetty station there is one government centre of scuba diving charging 3500 but in Havelock there is one beach nimorib beach there you will get private scuba centre charging 3000 and I would suggest you to take the private scuba as it is cheaper.

Keshav Sarkaniya u can do scuba diving at havelock but i did it at north bay island. At north bay island there are a lot of other underwater sports but m not sure that havelock island has that many activities or not..

I hv also done this.. Scooba diving n sea walking... Video that hv given is playing well in mobile in which they hv given.. Bt when video is send by wassapp or messenger.. Its audio get muted.. Do u hv any solution for this??

You will have to speak to the operator. But if you are a non-swimmer, I doubt if they will allow, as it could be harmful. The water pressure starts working on you, also, the amount of oxygen the cylinder can carry should be enough for that much time. But the, I am certainly not an expert in this, maybe someone else can answer.

Greetings! Yes, kids below the age of 8 are not eligible to indulge in scuba diving and if a person is having any medical issues or under going a certain should avoid this activity.

Vivek Mittal We paid Rs.3000 per head which included a video shot by the guides. We were taken to about 50 m underwater for 20 mins.

Vivek Mittal lovely. Esp when I can't swim! A dream come true. Do enjoy. If you can carry your own underwater cam nothing like it. I didn't have one and did not know I was eligible for scuba. Else would have ensured to carry my own.

Yes Udayan, I am not a diver at all, in fact I can not even swim. I would sink like a rock. For people like us, this opportunity is a godsend. The video was shot by the divers.
