I think it's a testament to the fact that Melee's skill ceiling is so high that you only ever have a small handful of people who can truly compete at the highest level. If there were a tier list for Melee player's there would probably be around 3 players in S tier and all the other good, top 8/16 players would be in A tier.

JaylaSuburbs to be fair, I am also a pretty bad player, and I think people underrate how good zain is at dealing with laser. It’s not just the power shields, it’s knowing when to accept the hit or cc. Marth also has no OOS that’s comparable to falco

It does seem so punishing when i's falco vs Zain. Like the commentators were saying, it might be more likely if there were better ways to edge guard Zain. Mango was trying but struggling. I think Falco wins the neutral on Marth, and I think Mango's obviously the blueprint of how to open Marth up with his constant mixup approaches, it just seems that everytime Mango gets Zain off stage there is a 1/4 chance of him killing Zain, where every time Zain has Mango off stage it's 1/2 or something. I hope Mango keeps pushing the MU, because he can obviously do it, it will just take more work to do it consistently.

I gotta say it is a pretty cool timeline when you are disappointed about Mango only getting 2nd to a Marth like there hasn't ever been one. Zain is so scary good with a sword and still you never feel like he is in control against the Mang. It always feels like it's in Mango's power to pull through. Those two are just special and I love every one of their sets and even though I stan for Mango and Falco, I'm never sad if Zain pulls off a win. Disappointed the bird got slain, yes, but grateful for the best Melee we've ever witnessed. In the for me most iconic matchup the game has produced. Thank you both- And keep on trucking, Mang. You can tell Mango has to play different when he's against Zain. He's the only person Mango can't keep running at. He'll take defensive options that he doesn't do too often against other people like the wavedash out of shield or just straight up letting Zain back on stage at times because it's too risky.
