Thanks for the taste demo! I didn't know there were all those mango varieties. I absolutely could live on mangoes. That, and mamey sapote, and papaya too.

The last two were not a named varieties that people graft. The first three were fruit grafted mango trees - meaning they were copies of that tree. Seedlings are just mango trees grown from seed, and unless it’s polyembryonic, (mono-embryonic) the fruit will not be the same as it’s parent tree. May be similar, but not identical. A grafted Maha tree that I have has grafted budwood from another Maha tree before it who was also grafted from another tree until you trace it all the way back to the original seedling tree. In a sense, grafted trees are grafted because of their quality.
