THE UNDERLYING & INSIDE STORY: The deleted scene (also on KZbin) shows a prolong treatment by Dr Chen for Jiang. Chen slowly wipes clean Jiang's back and removes the bullet and stitches the wound without anaesthesia. Writer uses Pain to camouflage caring. Jiang/Chen's "connection in the story" is established here ..... Jiang feeling partly responsible for loss of Chen's sister. Secret sign of triangle/circle also suggests start of relationship (sign will be used in later esp) and the holding of hands (twice). Chu Ran later falls for Jiang (not spoiler as you can easily guess). But for now no trust from Jiang and ChuRan when they used false names. Only Dr Chen revealed real name.
