Mangrove Mud Sled.. Solo Swamp Camping Adventure..

Found an old kayak that had a split in it so I cut it down to use as a sled :) Took it into the swamp for some muddy fun 😀 Sure was great, Mangrove swamps are my happy place !! Mangroves :
Mangroves are the only species of trees in the world that can tolerate saltwater
Mangroves are hotspots of biodiversity. They form the foundation of highly productive and biologically rich ecosystems, providing a home, nursery and feeding ground for a wide range of species of fish, crustacea, birds, insects and reptiles.
Mangroves have great capacity to take carbon out of the atmosphere. A patch of mangroves could absorb as much as 10 times the carbon of a similarly sized patch of terrestrial forest.
Mangroves can live for up to 100 years.
Individual oysters (pool filters) can filter 150 litres of water a day.

Another Epic Chris you never fail to entertain mate thank you for the effort you put into making these vids,when I was a kid we cooked fish whole in the coals but if we could find some clay we would soften it up with water and coat the fish completely with the clay and cook it in the coals it seals in all the flavour and moisture and when you take it out of the fire you chip the clay off one side and the other side becomes a plate, awesome.

Bloody Hell!!! you're keen mate. I got up this morning, made breakfast and sat down to watch this video, by the time it was over, after seeing all that exertion, remembering my own personal expierence I went back to bed for another hour to recover. I hope you get a million views, you more than earnt your bucks this week. I remember as a young bloke going on a duck shooting trip through a maze of swamp lands towing my gear on a rubber inflatable light truck tube, I ended up having a full knee reconstruction as a result of dragging my body and the gear through deep mud and bull rushes. lol Thanks for sharing Chris.

Now that my dad is gone and if you have a passport please come to Texas. I have a nice boat and we have numerous back waters or Big shipping channels to fish in, I would love to take you fishing and camp on the barrier islands next to the 1800"s light tower. The redfish, speckled seatrout and sheepshead are very big. Then if we go off shore the Kingfish, yellowfin tuna, and Jacks will give you a run for your money. I love to hunt and fish and would greatly enjoy having your company for an adventure. Wes
