They probably were talking about the hack that rebuilds PoR and RD in GBA FE. The hack is called FE9-RE and it was developed and finished by a chinese team. It features the garreg mach monastery, Maniac Mode, and a World Map. The hack is available on FEU if anyone wants to try it out.

The Third Age for GBA is a really fun game but it is hard and it has a semi-built in ironman so if your secondary Heroes die they are gone for good. Good's main commanders are Aragorn, Elrond and Gandalf while the Evil main commanders are Witch-King, Saruman and Mouth of Sauron. They try to balance it by making Good's Heroes generally stronger then the Evil's heroes and they have better command points which you need to use to move units, but the Evil's have stronger troops like Troll's, Uruk-Hai but their commanders don't produce as much command points etc.. It's not like Hero side don't get to use strong units on a few maps you get to use a massive army of ents or an army of Rohirrim or you only get access to Peasants to fight of a bunch of Ring Wraiths so maps vary quite a lot with different win conditions on some you may need to just defend certain areas or survive while other you have to kill specific units or kill all enemy heroes so keeps the gameplay fresh, I highly recommend anyone who likes strategy games to give it a go.

An easy fix for the shitty laguz gage in RD: make it so that whenever they get a kill, their gage increases instead.
