I just experienced something of an epiphany as to why you're so good at this KZbin thing and are likely highly successful as a broker: as I was watching this, I thought, "I'd really like to run into this guy at a party." You have this gift for making this feel like a real conversation. I say that not to demean your obvious knowledge and enthusiasm regarding yachts, but rather to note your utter lack of the "used car salesman" vibe; you don't project a feeling of just handling people. Yes, of course your job is to sell yachts, but I get the sense you adopt a whole person approach and that you fit the yacht to the person instead of the obverse. Just an observation. Btw, the POV footage from the action cam in some ways is more authntic, because you almost achieve the somatic experience of boarding the boat the way an owner/passenger would. Nicely done.

I loved the promo video when it came out...as promised its polished and perfect and makes the most of Serenity's beauty. But this was more fun! For one thing, I loved meeting the officers and seeing the shy service staff. Personally, I WANT to find the interiors over the top, but the designer's hand restrains the oligarch-impulse at the brink. The atmosphere recalls the Orient Express with it's material luxury and ultra-precise craftsmanship, yet I can imagine being comfortable and relaxed anywhere on the yacht. The impression is, ironically, enhanced by seeing luggage and lunch leftovers and people.

David, I wish I could give this video more than just a single thumbs up! I'm someone who's planning to buy a yacht in the next 8 to 10 years. Of course this is a carefully planned and calculated purchase with well done research and thought out decisions. The posh promo videos are great for showing the wife and friends. But, videos like this make all the difference for me. I'm extremely technical and I want to see every square meter of each yacht I look at. That is likely the case with most gents who are shopping. I personally would much perfer to see 20 or 30 minute videos or even longer of more and more details of each vessel and save the promos for the showing off to the family... Keep up the great work mate and I'll be in touch with you in a 7 or 8 years :-)

I very much liked this video. This highlighted that you are a very affable straight forward kind of person. The kind of person that I would want on my team should I ever be in the market to purchase or sell a yacht. You approach was highlighted by the way the crew treated you with respect and familiarity. The staff are the backbone of any endeavour and are a huge resource in understanding the strengths and weaknesses of a business. I am sure you get a much better read on maintenance and upkeep when the crew are on your side. I very much look forward to some more behind the scenes videos. Thank you Sir!
@lauwke1236 жыл бұрын
I really feel I got a good sense of what goes one ( a bit) behind the scenes, but more importantly it shows the boat in a really nice way, less glossy., more "human sized". It also gives me as a viewer the feeling you are really reaching out to us. Most of whom will never be able to buy this. Hope it sells soon and wishing its new owner many happy memories on it.

Love this type of video - really gets my yachting passion going! Great to see into the crews quarter as I believe this to be just as important to be right as the guest areas as a well looked after crew leads to well looked after guests! However could you try to show into the crews sleeping quarters in future videos if possible as it's always interesting to see what space they actually get as their "private zone" you could say. Cheers for another brilliant informative video David!
@Yachtsforsaleblog6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Oleafe! Will do. This was such an impromptu video that I didn't want to embarrass any of the crew with walking into their cabin uninvited. Next time I'll ask them if it's OK before I start filming so that I can include it in the video.

One of the most important things to mention in these multimillion super yachts is television. It's always amazing how it "slides" under the table. If that television, the one that slides under the table, is not mentioned then the boat is not super yacht. It's so incredibly amazing design nowadays you can basically see it mentioned in every super yacht video..amateur and professional...not that it would even be a super yacht video without mentioning that.

A very helpful insightful video, my suspicion would be that this owner and others; would be delighted that you're getting on with the job, the quickest most efficient way of making the yacht known to both new and existing buyers about to sign the dotted line elsewhere, all upside; no downside. That was totally enjoyable! We didn't get to see the crew cabins themselves. Did you forget or just wanted to avoid showing sardine cans? Anyway, one great yacht for sure. Congrats on a great listing. I like the 900 HP chase boat. That' all reminded me of formation flying for air to air photos of airplanes. Thanks Chet! The video was very impromptu, and when I got to the crew quarters I realised I hadn't asked permission to look in the cabins. It didn't seem fair to just open a door without asking. The cabins are small, it's true, but they all have en suite bathrooms.
