One of the things I like about this game is that they don't try to paint Cash as a misunderstood hero or whatever. He's no better than the enemies you kill and the game knows it.

He's far better than much of the enemies. Remember, Cash is a death row inmate who already has experience in combat. It's just he's shown as an anti-villian that happens to be the protagonist.

Cash was a death row inmate prior to the main story, meaning he's committed at least one act of first-degree homicide and he seems to be a pretty violent person as he still goes to town on enemies even when performing low level executions. Cash may not be as bad as Starkweather and his cronies, but that bar is exceptionally low. He's not really an anti-hero. He's more like an anti-villain.

Forget GTA. Manhunt is Rockstar's most infamous game that nearly destroyed the company. On the plus side, it is the best and most realistic horror game around, though challenging at times. I still have my PS2 copy and beaten Hardcore with all stars. Such a shame we will never get a game like this ever again. Oh, who can't forget Piggsy?

@@DarkLordVortex The only way that Manhunt 3 could be released, and this is unlikely, is if Rockstar sold the rights to another company that was less concerned about the financial impact of releasing such a game. The only issue with this is that it could open up that can of worms that Rockstar has tried so hard to close. If Manhunt 3 releases, people will remember Manhunt 2, and Rockstar could look guilty by association.

It would appear that Starkweather chose his candidate quite well, if not too well, as this would eventually become his downfall. Cash is an extraordinarily dangerous individual. Alongside being proficient at stealth, he is capable of easily inflicting fatal injuries using even the most simple, everyday objects such as the plastic bag or wire, and is equally skillful with firearms such as the assault rifle or shotgun. Cash also seems to dislike the tramp, but it could likely be due the fact that Starkweather, who constantly teases Cash (due to his family being murdered by the Innocentz under Starkweather's orders after he rescues them), tells him the tramp is his "new friend"

@@ToddHoward70 yeah I overplayed the shit out of the re2 remake. Awesome game with loads of replay-ability I highly recommend replaying manhunt on Xbox tho. It was ahead of its time. It gets better and has more variety as the game progresses. It felt like the developers were still figuring out the formula and full mechanics of the game while the story was progressing. That’s why the game sucks so bad and is so boring in the beginning. It grew on me eventually because of the gritty aesthetic and some of the violent kills. The head dismemberments with shotguns are actually in some ways better and more detailed than RDR 2 and that says a lot!! . If you don’t like stealth tho, you won’t like it. Gun play is not that bad tbh if you like the old school gta games. It’s basically duck and cover combat with brains and blood splatter on walls.
