I have bipolar but I will never forget I was put on a 24 hold for my anxiety episode They tried to force Xanax and haldol on me … I kept calling the nurse the “c” word then like three men held me down while i was trying to get away !! They held me down and injected me with haldol I slept for 24 hours straight

Whoa! You’re experience is almost identical to my son’s. The timeline is also almost the same! He’s type I as well. I so admire you for being so brave and transparent with your story. You’re really a tremendous help to the people who are affected and to the people who need to learn about the condition. Hope you continue to do well👍🙏🤞

I really feel for Megan. My 19 yr old son has been struggling for a little over a year and has just been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder 1. He’s in Banyan treatment center. He has been there for only 3 weeks and seems like forever. He’s still manic, but seems like he’s on the low side of manic, if that makes sense. He wants to spend money like crazy, and wants to drink alcohol with his ol'man( that’s me). YIKES!. I want to be his friend, but I must be his Dad of course. When he leaves Banyan, they will step him down to a halfway house. He’ll be drug tested as well for a month, then he’ll come home and do online therapy. I’m scared that he’ll jump ship and end up in jail, then repeat the whole process. At the moment, he doesn’t think he has a problem that he can’t handle by himself. Going to jail would be soooo terrible for him. Of course it would. I hope nothing like what happened to you, Megan, will happen to my son, but it certainly could. Very scary indeed

@@MeganAmaya when you talked about your horrific experience in jail, that scared the hell out of me and I could see that happening to my son. These police officers are mostly good people, but we will always have some cops that aren’t trained well enough and don’t belong in the police force. That’s putting it mildly.
