These guys are just amazing. They went through the a harrowing time of dealing with their friend going missing. They got back up and dusted themselves off and carried on but in a way that it doesn't dwell or disrespect Richey's memory or work. They have never glorified nor shunned his vanishing, yet are still here today writing fantastic music and are successful in their own right. Absolute legends, love them x x

As an American, I can tell you that the Manics are my favorite band of all time. We are not all flag-waving followers of the corporate oligarchy. The manics are amazing on every level. To me they are fearless and iconoclastic. Since most of the American public are interested in 'entertainment' as opposed to 'Art', it's easy to see why a band of this high caliber would not catch on. In America, the masses are not interested in truth and sublimity. Most seek safety in perpetual delusion.

'she's suffering' is a great song, a fab dark story that you need to get, when I heard it on the radio, many year ago, it gave me shivers. What a song I thought.

I am afraid that you very well characterized not only most of American public, but most of people generally. Anyway, I agree that common Americans are known worldwide to proudly present their simplicity regarding complex matters... ;-)

This is the most honest interview I have seen of Manics. But WHAT is all that stuff just before'She is Suffering? NW' Haven't delved into a box for a while' JDB 'Touche' and then something about the title also being 'touche'.Hmm.I have my own ideas, but will keep them to myself!
@GreenBitterfly4 жыл бұрын
I think it's not touche (the second time), it's can I choose another one. Wonder if the delving into a box comment was a reference to him and Richey sharing a bed?

I think it's just a silly double entendre, and James says slightly the wrong thing.
