It blows my mind that people disliked this video...! I had such a good time listening and learning! You were such a pleasure to learn from and so calm! Obviously, you're here because you want to help people learn how to do beadwork. Not to make money on marketing your own kits. Those are hard to follow. Just because you don't have the fancy studio and equipment like they do doesn't mean this was a bad video. I got more help from you than all of those others put together! Thanks!

Many hugs to you dear Manie! So many tutorials, but so nice to have someone who feels more "real" and not so faky when they try to teach. You are truly down to earth so to speak, and a beautiful soul my friend! So frustrating when they want to spend half of their tutorial trying to get "likes" and followers, or patreons etc. You show mistakes, and how to correct them as well as advice for beginners, and I just love you to pieces! Thank you again for teaching me, being patient and putting it all in easy terms for slow old people like me! Again, Many hugs!

I really appreciate the time and learned a lot! I used a heavier line for the brick stitch and I am not sure how to attach the lighter line for the fringe….
@ManieMartinez2 жыл бұрын
you are going to need to weave the new thread into the brick stitch section being careful not to clog up the wholes you will need to pass through again. Start up top and work down a couple then up and then down to the starting bead with the thread coming out in the right direction. You may need to plan before you do it so you end up where you want to be. Have fun.

I figured out long ago that we have 2 choices in life: roll over and give up or kick that crap back in the teeth. Our life experiences end up as mosaic or a disjointed pile of pieces, depending on which we choose. Peace and happiness are found in tenacity, in my experience. I’ve buried a daughter and my mother. I wonder what kind of person my daughter would have ended up being, and there’s not a day goes by that I don’t wish I could call my mom and share something funny or frustrating. . . We cease to exist when no one remembers us. My mom, grandparents, aunts and uncles, my daughter. . . are still here because I am here and have not forgotten. And I make sure my children and my students hear their stories and their truths, so those memories live on. I absolutely encourage my students to do the same with their loved ones who’ve passed on. What a blessing to be there in that moment to say I love you and goodbye one last time--I never got that.

Thank you so much for sharing your tips and tricks! Usually I can fast forward through beading videos because they’re not discussing anything except where to put the needle. That’s fine, but it’s not helping me become a better beader. But this one is packed with useful tidbits! Because of you I just made my first fringe earrings and they turned out great. Thank you!!

What a great video! I had made brick stitch native earrings before but my fringe never seemed to sit right. The little trick with the finger nail worked perfectly and the fringe hangs nicely. I plan on making many more. I went off your pattern for my first pair but used blue, turquoise and white and they turned out lovely!! I found a pattern maker and printed it out too. I am so excited to do my own designs! You are so helpful and when I watch your videos it's like I'm sitting at the table beading with you. Thanks again for another wonderful tutorial!

Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge. Can you advise where to start as a newbie, should someone start off with a kit?
@ManieMartinez2 жыл бұрын
That might be helpful if you don't have beads. It would keep the cost down. Eureka Beads and Potomac Bead Company has kits and mix bead color combos you can get in one tube that can help you get started. If you have a local store that sells them, go and check the beads out in person for sure. Have fun!

Awesome tutorial. I'm a self taught artist and I did a Kwanzaa style colors brick stitch fringe earrings but I had to redo it like 10 times cuz I used bugles where you used the green beads.i did sell the earrings thu for either $25 or $40. I honestly don't remember off hand. I loved all your tips and tricks especially about how to thread with bugles. I now know where I went wrong. I just found you tonight. I'm so glad I did.
