Wow Anna. First 6 mins and I’m sobbing. These are happy tears for I’ve always thought like you’re saying, the people that love you bring you peace, so no matter how it’s ended all that matters is that you’re free to find that ONE. However it is still raw and early, so feel all your feels because it is mourning that will help you to grow. Sending so much love and hugs to you both ❤❤❤

I’m Iranian from London, I lived with my ex and we broke up and I’ve been single and living alone for 4 years and honestly couldn’t be happier. I feel like people kill themselves for a relationship so everyone on instagram can see they are ‘loved up’ but in fact are miserable so girl take your time. Living alone is the best thing everrrr, once you live alone you can’t go back. And in those 4 single years, I’ve had many men tell me they love me and want to marry me but I’ve protected my peace first

Anna there is a quote in a book I read a long time ago; ''do not allow the faults of others to make you punish the ones with no fault'' hearing you say youre scared to love someone fully because of how cowsl*ck treated u made me think of that. the next man could genuinely be the one for you and the best thing about you Anna is ur softness. you can let a man hurt u, let him make u cry, but u should never NEVER let someone take ur softness. like ur dad said we are on a road to nowhere and you cannot let your road become hard. love, be empathetic, cry, be soft and open ur heart. that man was ur past don't let his actions affect ur future. - long time listener
@zarabadawy4820Ай бұрын
also; men are liars. they sit and will tell u they don't give a fuck but I promise u in a couple weeks/months he will come back and say he misses u. please Anna, for urself, for ur future don't take him back when he apologises this time. ''Don't ever let a man tell you he doesnt want you twice.''

i feel like the switch up is the “warrior” instinct in some men to just put on a brave face, they’re def crying on their own. there’s honestly some men who are comfy showing their sadness but a lot resort to a cold/indifferent sort of defence mechanism. it’s a lack of emotional maturity

Similar thing happened to me in a past relationship. Things weren’t going well and we decided to take two weeks without seeing each other (still talk) to get back to a friendly and nice vibe as we’d been arguing loads. This was my idea as I felt something needed to change. Overnight I stopped hearing from him and my number was blocked. The grief, shock and complete confusion I felt about the situation was unreal and took a long time to get over. This was a man who didn’t want to take a break and was crying to me about how much he loved and cared about me. Sadly some men are just cowards and need us to do their dirty work for them. 7 years later I still haven’t heard from him and I’m grateful that he stayed away. Big love to you both, these experiences only make us stronger and help recognise what we want and need from a relationship ❤

I'm only an episode in and oh my god, Anna. You have me crying. I remember going through a breakup and my dad just wanted to comfort me and I pushed him away because I was hurt and angry over my ex. Everything you said just struck a chord. I'm glad you had the 'epiphany' (as I like to call it) I had. People say that the ones who let you down the most actually make you learn and realise so much about yourself. The ones who break your heart actually do you a favour by making you realise what truly is important in life. And therefore, you gain a new perspective and realise not to settle for the bare minimum anymore. I'm glad you've come to this realisation. For the record, I am married now to the man of my dreams and have a beautiful little boy 💙💙

And all the time I was looking for him in the past he was actually in relationship 😂. My whole list about my dream man came true ! Even down to career and their family relationships, wild. I still think it’s crazy until this day. Your day is coming Anna ❤
@delilah277Ай бұрын
Unfortunately, I don't think he's switched up overnight. Maybe in what he has said to you, but not in his behavior. I've been watching you guys for over a year now and the arguments you and Cowslick have were very telling that he would 'switch up' like this, because it's not about what he says to you, but what his actions say. I'm obviously not in your relationship, but there have been several signs at least that I've seen as a listener just in the things you have argued over that you have shared with us, and also including why you broke up the first time. Fortunately though -- the bright side -- is that human beings are actually less unpredictable than you think. Personality is actually pretty stable over time and someone's actions are highly telling of not just past behavior, but future behavior. So when you get back into the dating scene, focus less on what they are saying to you and more on their actions. Look for a man with integrity, and a man with real integrity will not have to tell you that he means what he says, but you will see and feel it in how he acts without a doubt.

It’s so crazy to hear all your points because my brother exactly all of that. He’s so romantic, he’s very open with his girlfriend, but at the same time he’s respectful, he goes all out for her, he writes her letters. She writes him letters, and my brother is very much a person who is a manly man. He is so strong physically, and mentally, he has his tendencies as a man as all men do in their nature, but when it comes to his girlfriend and his family is kind and respectful and he doesn’t cross those lines at all, he’s so mature for his age and is a true gentleman so I promise Anna there are men out there that are raised right who are still men and are willing to be that protector, but when it comes to their family or their loved ones and girlfriends/lies they let their guard down. You will find him he just have to find the right one and authentically be you.

You’re a beautiful, kind and smart woman so I’m sure there’s someone better out there for you. I’ve had that experience in the past where your partner switches up on you out of the blue so I understand how confusing and hurtful it is. Just remember it’s everything to do with them and nothing to do with you. About the end where you say you might not want to get close to your new bfs mother - I’d say that life is about experiencing a range of emotions If we didn’t go through sadness then we wouldn’t value happiness as much. Don’t restrict yourself go through it again be yourself don’t stop it because in the future if all things work out god willing then you might be upset like I wish we had gotten close at the start but i was too worried about being hurt. Think in the moment. Of course protect ur self but dont over protect where it stops you from experiencing. Don’t be scared of feeling your emotions. The hurt you feel now from ur ex is proof that your love was truthful you made wonderful memories now on to the next. Like your dad said life is a journey to nowhere so don’t take it so seriously. It can be frightening wondering and thinking all night what if I dont find someone but if you step back and think regardless your life will go on and if you’re meant to find someone all this worrying will not speed up the process. It will find you.
