3 of the flashiest imports to play in the PBA on the same floor...... williams,keeling and michael young. Incidentally, Rob williams teamates in college anders, franklin, young all played in the Philippines as imports. RIP rob williams....

Watch the ESPN 30 for 30 documentary on the legendary "Phi Slama Jama" Houston Cougars college team. Yes, that University of Houston team that featured future NBA Hall Of Famers Clyde Drexler and Hakeem Olajuwon. Yes, that team that made it to the Final Four & lost to the eventual NCAA champions that year, North Carolina which was led by James Worthy and Sam Perkins and had a rookie-freshman named Michael Jordan. This guy Rob Williams was the leader and scoring machine of that legendary Houston Cougars team. Not Drexler, not Olajuwon, it was this Rob Williams guy who eventually played in the Philippines. Hard to believe. However, the "black eye" in Williams storied college career was that he apparently played his worst game during the loss to the Tar Heels where he only scored 2 points--and his season average was over 20 ppg. Go figure. You can also dig up the internet for an article many years after this guys retired from pro basketball wherein her admitted that he used drugs during his playing career. P.S. In that same ESPN documentary, I learned that that Michael Young player on that other team was also part of that Phi Slama Jama team of the Houston Cougars. Kinda hard to believe that the teams in the Philippines were able to afford to hire players of that caliber and reputation. Must have cost those Philippine teams a lot of money.

rob williams, the steph curry of old. I remember how he likes dribbling behind the back several times before taking a shot. a show-off indeed but he had something to show.
