I'm going through similar situation with my soon to be exhusband. We have a toddler together and him his family are all controlling manipulators who never meant me any good. As long as i did everything he and his family wanted, the situation was fine. Now that I want a divorce, the circumstances have changed which I did expect from them anyway. Bishop Blake, thank you for this message. When dealing with narcissist personality control and manipulation are common traits along with the sense of entitlement, grandiose and praise seeking. Considering having to work or be in relationship with them, family/friend, in order to get them to comply with whats acceptable in getting anything done they must know they are getting something out of it first. Their self-centeredness and superior perception does not allow them to think otherwise. One of the strategies in psychology to work with or be around this type of personality is to formulate what you want into plenty of positive affirmation, boost their ego, then give the task or then ask from them what you need done. Would you consider this approach a form of control and/or manipulation, witchcraft? Please share your thoughts.

On a different note, it is challenging to supervise a crowd or to shepherd a flock there are a few good servants of God, however, you do have pastors, elders, or bishops, that abuse their superior position or authority ....as a servant or employee or a vulnerable position because of fraud ....it is difficult to be abused, used, deceived, manipulated just because they are in an inferior position or lack assistance. You’ll pay for them at the expense of your authenticity.
