In fact, Meitei Hindu are dual religion. We worship both Sanamahi and Hinduism. And u will find different rituals n culture of Manipuri Hindus with the rest of India. Like we celebrate rath yatra as Kang Chingba ( but yes we worship our lord Jaganath on this day) Diwali, we r mainly do with lakshmi puja on Diwali n lightning same as other part in world, we worship Hiyanthang lairembi not Kamakhya etc. and many more things on rituals n culture like Subh Vivah, swasti puja etc.

Pangkhangpa was the powerful dragon emperor of Meitei and kangleipak...and he has different forms...like Saram Tangkhul pakhangpa is related to tangkhul....and also Saanamahi was the only and first religion of Manipur before Hinduism came, not only meitei followed this animist saanamahi religion, also many other indigenous tribes of Manipur like kabui, maring, tangkhul etc used to follow Saanamahi religion.... lastly, we the meitei and other indigenous tribes of Kangleipak were the descendants of Tibetan and Chinese with some admixture of tai.... that's why we worship dragon and our scripts and language similar to chinese ❤

its not correct. Hinduism came to Manipur only in 18th Century. It has been called many names eg. Kangleipak, before but not manipur. The name changed only after the Kingdom accepted Vaishnavism as the State religion. And the Manipur mentioned in mahabarata is not today's manipur state. This whole Chitrangada story is completely falsely as the place which was called Manipur in mahabharat does not fit the description of Manipur Kingdom at all. This has been proved by many historians. This story has been used many a times to justify the acceptance of hinduism by the rulers of Manipur to its people. Many tradition followed today the Meitei of Manipur is the residual of the local religion Sanamahism and vaishnavism . Today the meitei people follow both the traditions in a perfect balance just like the japanese keeping a balance between buddhism and their own ancestorial religion of sinto. Therefore ,in manipur, many vile practices of hinduism are not taken like caste system , untouchability etc. and adopted good practices of both Hinduism and the local religion.
