I heard Rajat Sethi speaking in many such discussions on Manipur. If he is an expert of the Region as claimed, and being a former adviser to the chief minister, he should be able to come up with correct analysis of the situation and solutions to the problems that persisted for this long. In every discussion he participated, he claimed to be an expert, but keep defending the Manipur Government, and various actions taken by it. But, the worsening situation for the last 80+ days proved the sheer incompetence of the state government in controlling the situation and in maintenance of law and order. Why keep defending such an incompetent and failed state government of manipur … I really doubt his understanding and analysis of the overall situation in the state. Or, he would be grossly biased in his understanding and judgement …

Why this guy lied about Kuki burning Churches. The Church he specifically mentioned was located in Khamenlok, a Kuki village, it was attacked by the Meitei, ransacked the Church, drinking and feasting inside the Church at night thinking that they won a great battle. At midnight the Kukis counter attacked them. I heard that from ground report. But the Meitei said they were hiding inside the Church and were attacked by Kuki . You should have put to him hard question like why AFSPA was removed from all valley police station and not a single from the Hills area? Why in the name of reverification, all licence guns were called back from Churachandpur district just before the start of 3 May mayhem? Mr. Rajat stated that the present turmoil started based on rumours of raping of some Meitei girls in Churachandpur? If so, why the boy who spread such rumour is not arrested yet? Mr. Rajat also said that the kuki had destroyed the Meitei Christian church, this is absolutely incorrect, the church he mentioned wherein some Meitei had been killed inside the church actually belonged to the kukis of Aigijang village and the person killed therein were the radical Meitei who attack the village.

He was the advisor of CM. He should explain what has led to the situation. Why govt. couldnt prevent it. What is the roadmap now to bring the normalcy. What steps are being tanken to control the hate speeches, tweets etc. made by the radical groups irrespective of the communities. A hopeless answer of some close door meetings is not enough. And more than anything, I am surprised that there is no such question asked in the interview. Again no accountabllily...and no question on the accountability
