A verse from Torah is inserted in a mezzuza. Different mezzuzot have different verses. Not sure if one verse is more popular than the others.

The mezzuzah contains a scroll written by an authorized scribe. On the scroll are the words in Hebrew to the Shema, a very special prayer for Jews. A mezzuzah is placed on every external door frame and on every door frame except for bathrooms.
