Manistee king salmon tournament pre-fish pt.2 (live scoping kings🔥🔥🔥)

This video is from our trip on May 3, the afternoon before the tournament out of Manistee. The captain’s meeting for the tournament didn’t end until after 7 PM so we were only able to fish for a couple hours but we had some good action. Out of Ludington this morning, we were 19 for 22 and throwback 3 shakers. Four matures, about 8 4-8lb fish and the rest are small. Out deep on 300fow

There is bait around but haven’t seem a lot in their stomaches. Harbor is loaded top to bottom and some big bait balls close to shore

Do you run mono for ur hi diver??

In this video we are running slide divers so yeah we are using mono. If fish are 40ft or deeper then we use braid

@@thereeljbake haven’t gotten into the slide diver thing.. I have different sized dipseys but I see a lot of guys running slides..

@@SeanOBrien-px9zcmost of the time braid and wire dipseys are going to out-fish slide divers but early spring, fishing the pier heads, and when some north winds bring the thermocline way up I think slide divers put more fish in the boat
