Very surprised because in other parts of Nepal, this way of sitting is consider inappropriate and girls are taught since young age by elders on how to sit in a appropriate manner. It might be because they follow their own Rai customs confined to their own village life and lack of exposure to outside. Thats why education is important. If they went school, they would have learnt what is right and wrong way to do things.

@@ShG2022 I was wondering. Very inappropriate for women even in other cultures to sit this way In Africa , they would run you out of town/ send you back for more teachings. Is it because the fireplace is too low or what?

Hay caramba se fijan en la manera como se sientan, cada país con sus usos y costumbres, además está frente al marido que seguramente conoce todo su cuerpo, así que porfavor más vale fíjense en ustedes y no en los demás, no tiene nada de malo como se sienta, tiene pantalones y no lleva falda Que insoportables que son algunas

@@beatricenyambare913I don't think it's because of the fireplace because, we have firewood stoves on the floor everywhere in Nepal. My aunts used to cook on the floor in my ancestral village but they don't sit this way. A girl is taught to sit properly since 7-8 yrs old. Maybe the newer generation don't care about what their elders say and just do what they want. Looks like these young girls don't want to live with their in-laws and rush to the shed to live independently.😂😅
