Very few modern exorcisms ever actually are. Especially with the rite being rewritten in 1999 that someone must be thoroughly evaluated by physicians. The vast majority take place outside of the authority of the church. To clarify, I'm talking about Christian exorcisms. I should also clarify that there are several denominations that believe the power of an exorcism comes from simply having strong faith and lies with the individual. Any believer can, in theory, invoke the name of Christ and God to cast out demons. Disclaimer: I'm making no judgment as to the validity of possession as a whole. Yes, I'm a medical student and believe 99.9% of so called "possessions" have a mundane explanation (especially since I also have epilepsy and mental illness.) But I recognize some cases never respond to conventional treatment. Whether you want to attribute those to possession or the infancy of psychiatry and neuroscience is up to you. Don't @ me with arguments either way, unless you're cool with the possibility that you're wasting your time. I'm busy elsewhere and don't see a lot of replies as they get buried.

I was not expecting Faith to get a sequel, but this is a nice surprise. Faith 1 nailed its atmosphere and this demo continues that. I am excited to see how the full game compares, as Manly's critique on it being very similar to the first game is accurate. Hopefully the full game will have more varied segments like that fight in the dark. Also, I like the new plan for an overview at the end of a series or certain videos.

_"RAWWWRRR"_ The story of the nun & children was creepy. But you brandishing that cross & saying "Evil" was pretty hilarious. The game had much more text this time & I actually think was scarier than the first Faith game. There was one passage that stood out to me: "...the sound of an old woman's cackle... was coming from the painting of the Virgin Mary." I mean, that would be enough to send me running. Well-played as always with good attention to the story. And I liked the ending summary with facecam!!! :)

Can you imagine a game like this showing up on the NES back in the late 80s early 90s? It definitely would have been a top 10 classic on the NES. I had no idea it was even possible to make CG cut scenes in 8-bit format

I think Faith and Organ Trail are good examples of how graphics do not need to be really advanced and high fidelity to be good, they can be quite simple and still do their job. I'd rather have dated graphics where I can easily tell objects, characters and environments apart, than state of the art graphics where this is poorly conveyed.

Damn, for an isolated catholic Church/orphanage they sure let things go way out of control. I mean, generally at the first sign of weird ass behavior the priests would (should?) be like "DEMON BEGONE!!!!!!!" and perform exorcisms and all that. In that sense, I think in the first game the story is more believable since we're playing a "Father" exorcisizing a girl, but here we learn through the letters that everyone was like "well the nun is weird but hey! the kids like her. so. all's good" and it makes me a bit more skeptical. Just a bit of feedback. I loved the first game and I really want to see the rest of this one, I adore the aesthetic and the fluidity of scenes where they're animated (forgot the name, sorry). My favorite from this series is definitely when the hand bursts out of the girls face in the first game. Keep up the great work, Manly & game dev

The new format actually reminds me of how you used to do a little commentary at the ending of every video back in the past (I.e gingiva, middens, etc), which I greatly enjoyed. I would think it's a bit jarring if you do it too much (which is why you usually leave your thoughts for the end of playthroughs), but in this case with the webcam, I think it fits really well
