36:10 Actually that’s the sound a loon makes. They’re a type of water bird. Very iconic and stands out. At least if you live in Canada. You hear them a lot so the call gets stuck in your brain for forever. They’re very beautiful and haunting calls in my opinion. Especially on a quiet lake or something like that and you hear a loon cry. Very Canadian imagery. Love it🥰 I also love that loons have red eyes

This game is a really cool concept, but without the player having a certain safe room it is possible to get some really bad layouts where you're borderline forced to die. If they can fix this and/or make less dead ends I think this would be a wonderful game.

The mapping system in this game was well designed in my opinion, the different colors were a nice touch. I felt like it really added to the 'exploring haunted mansion for pixelated ex-gf' vibe. Plus the deaths/endings were rad, absolutely trippy!

I'm thinking nekomata or some other cat - like entity or some one who loved / liked cats because they had some things in common ( love fish and milk ) The strange thing is that allegedly milk is "actually bad" for cats but I have never heard of a case where it made a cat ill or worse. ( or if I did I've forgotten )

There's a lot of variety in the ghosts here, but runs also just go sideways so fast with more or less no hope to recover. I'm definitely interested to see what the finished game is like though, it's got potential.

In this the yokai get worse as you go deeper in levels. So its better to fully explore the levels instead of just jumping to later levels... Doing the quests can be helpful as well.. When you used the warp/teleport talisman I kinda laughed.. It did exactly as it said but you for some reason was expecting different.. The first power it had, the one you used. Was short ranged. Meant from jumping from one room/area to another that was not accessible from your area. The other power it had was the long ranged one that you where expecting from the one you used instead.. IE the second power is to get as far away from your current position while still remaining inside the same level. Its meant as something to quickly get away from the yokai that is attacking you.

One thing I've noticed and majorly respect about Manly is that during the credits at the end of most games he plays, he doesn't talk. As if it's a respect thing towards the devs (at least that's what I think) Knowing how much time, blood, sweat and tears these indie devs put into their games. Just a nice little touch that I've noticed, which makes Manly one of my favorite let's player!!!

It's a really cool game, but needs more closets (at least 2 guaranteed per level) to hide from the ghosts, the HP mechanic is almost there to compensate for hostile level generation 😋

That phone text conversation was starkly brutal, lol. I might have responded in a similar way though. Some rando texts me (how did they get my number??) and starts blabbering about my ex, saying that they are a 'friend' of hers, possibly one that inspired her to break up with me, I'd be like: "Yeah sure, we can go look for her, but you have to lead the way, chum. By the way, buy me lunch first." Then I'd thank them for the meal and tell them to give all that nonsense info to the police, and then let me know what happens after. Then I'd go back home.

With some refining I think this can be an awesome game! I quite like the creepy imagery that comes with taking damage, almost looks like AI generated Salvador Dali paintings. I noticed a lot of comparison to Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion, but as a speedrunner of that game I only see slight similarities, personally.

One thing I would appreciate, please I hope they change the attacks. I understand it's meant to be difficult, so the frequency doesn't have go down, but god those flashing images hurt my eyes. Yeah the combination of RNG layout and no idea what each of the spirits due to counter them make this really rough. I like the ideas of this though the talismans all are really cool effects and if you can be clever about strategies for each enemy could mix up the gameplay often. I wonder if having multiple spirits after you in levels like it seemed to have is a good idea tbh, might be better to just have 1 but they ramp up in aggression or something as you go further in levels.

First off, another excellent video as always Manly! I guess I've gotten desensitized to pixelated horror. I thought this was just ugly, not stylistic. The character models are nice but the environment doesn't have the same feel. Also faces filling the screen when you're supposed to run but, due to the faces, can't see where to go is obnoxious.

...Well! It looks like Manly isn't good at mazes, seeing him going back to the entrance and a dead-end window twice already. That aside, this game is really making you feel the claustrophobic, considering the narrow and tight spaces not being able to avoid the ghosts. And if tight spaces aren't a thing, some ghosts seem to be rather a bit too fast for you to escape or avoid. Now ain't that a load of ectoplasm?

I think the TV you were watching started out on a Titanic-like ship. You can see the white top and different colored bottom. Initially it's perpendicular to the camera, then the ship turns out to sea.
