So let me get this straight: Namiho is the Aunt (very pretty, by the way), Aonami is Samekichi's real name, and Sal is Shironami. No wonder Minami is named Minami - the nami's are all in the family. Honestly sad Sal is dead, but what a great villain. For reals, I cried through pretty much this whole video when it went into Mekai's past of falling in love with the moon spirit, helping his grandchild find his way home (my heart!), and then just seeing the meeting with the Aunt. I'm just so glad to have seen this. A big shout out to Manly and Pau-san for this. I so hope for more Wadanohara in the future; always a fave of mine. God bless!

In the manga and the game, Samekichi knew Sal was in the kingdom as Uomi's colleague, but he didn't say anything to him; he regrets not saying anything to him sooner, thinking if he did, he could have convinced Sal to come home earlier without the events of the Red Sea happening.

More than likely, she was assaulted or had some sort of relationship with Old before showing up to live with Namiho. She never told Namiho or anyone about Old being the boy's father. And Samekichi knows Sal is his brother. They grew up together. There is an entire scene of them in these bonus scenes and the manga at their mother's grave. So when Sal ran off, and Samekichi saw him in the Blue Sea kingdom, he regrets not reaching out ot him soon. Even in the manga, he calls Sal his real name - Shironami - but it's blacked out; we got the full reveal in this Reboot.

_”Papakichi”_ So much feeling in this...my heart was ready to burst between the line from Memoca "The society is full of bad guys” to the whole Memories scene with Sal & Samekichi “The days we spent together are part of the past now”. The story of Wadanohara’s parents in scene 6 & then seeing little cute Minami brought safely home to his parents by his grandfather. What wonderful full characters & great world building is why this story is such a classic. Thank you MBH for bringing this to life for us & thanks to Pausan for the English translation.

@@AlphaSections Like the other guy said, the slow development of Carnival Rhythm (and that Alice in Wonderland themed game everyone forgot about) has nothing to do with SJWs. I mean, there was that whole ruckus about them getting "banished" (lol) out of tumblr, but that was like, YEARS ago, and surely, there are other reasons for the lack of new games. It seems Deep-sea Prisoner hasn't worked on the newer projects in a while, and would rather focus working on releasing remakes/spin-offs of their old works first, such as the TGG remake and Mogeko Castle Gaiden. Not to mention they have been going through some personal trouble recently. I don't know about all the details, but it seems that someone who was very important to them (not sure if it was a family member or just a very close friend) has died, and that seemed to affect them a lot (considering they posted what looked like vent art on their instagram, along with a very messy text in the post description, about how the side-effects of sleeping pills made them feel good). P.S.: Sorry if I came off as trying to be "woke" by referring to Deep-sea Prisoner as they/them, I only did that because I don't know whether they're male or female, and to me, it's way too awkward to just "take a guess" (as I don't even know how they look like in the first place).

Just going to comment a second time and emphasize how happy I am to have seen this update. I wasn't expecting Minami to show up in the game at all, and the extra backstory and drop that Wadanohara's world is an offshoot of the Pitch Black World opens up a lot of new possibilities for the... DSP expanded universe? If that's what you would want to call it. I hope we can see Kcalb and Etihw's child (I believe her name is Silhouette) in the next game, or a reboot similar to this one. I can't wait for the next expansion of the lore on this universe, it is by far my favorite. 😁

I can picture the two kids meeting It was nice to see a good kind of happily ever after for them. Seems like a everyone Is having kids. It's like everyone has grown up a little. well, Chlomaki used to be an angel named Nadine who served under Fumus. And it was pretty much revealed here that Satanick created the Blue Sea. Considering how Fumus and Satanick are brothers, both Chlomaki and Wadanohara hail from the same world so each world doesn't necessarily have only 1 witch.

Mikotsuhime didn't even create the Red Sea? So the only thing she did wrong was start the civil war in the first place. She started it because she felt the Sea King's choice of successor meant he didn't really love her, but any well-adjusted person (even in her position) would know it isn't that simple so I can't help but blame the Sea King's shitty parenting for that (I can imagine he shielded her from the consequences of her actions throughout life, because a civil war is a pretty big deal and not something someone with an idea of consequence would ever start on an emotionally charged whim). Mikotsu was even described as a kind child pre-coup.

So did Samekichi/Aonami not know that Sal/Shironami was his brother until his encounter with him in the cave? Aonami did say at the time that he never trusted Sal, but does that mean he realized he was his long lost brother? Shironami seemed like he knew the entire time though. It also doesn't seem like either of them were involved in the war between the two ocean sisters, so how did Shironami find out about the Sea of Death (or, how to release the other princess, and ultimately, how he became the Ambassador of the Sea of Death? Plus, Princess Mikotsu seemed perfectly normal before Princess Uomi was chosen as the successor. I'm guessing it was her jealousy of her sister was what caused her to be corrupted by the Sea of Death which was accidentally created by the Sea King, but then why WASN'T Mikotsu chosen? And the fish that followed her seemed to know from the start that she wouldn't be able to defeat Oumi, so what was their goal in the end? Perhaps these are questions only answered in the manga. That's a bit of a shame, but it looks like I'll need to track it down.

Woah, that's a long commentary with doubts! Ao and Shiro knew they were brothers always. In the first part of this bonus scenes Ao mentions he can't find HIM, refering to Shiro, and it's indeed explained in the manga that he was looking for him to talk with him and bring him back. We don't know how Sal joined the Sea of Death, but it seems its evil energy came to him after the death of his mother and made him evil, he spoke with Mikotsu and he became the ambassator. The Sea King was a dick, he never loved Mikotsu, so obviously he choosed Uomi. In any case, there's a confirmed future prequel for the game, so everything will become clear then :)

@@assassinbman2201 I think Wada will most likely be mentioned or make some cameos in other games but I doubt she will have a sequel since technically, she got a family with the one she loved, most residents of the Red Sea are dead I believe and the princesses of the Sea and Earth Kingdoms are friends. Maybe the child of Wada and Samekichi would be a character in a future game but nothing else.

I'm going to guess you've already played The Gray Garden, if not, quick summary: A demon girl named Yosafire lives in a peaceful world with the God Etihw and the Devil Kcalb. Each world has its own Devil and God. One day, the Flame World Devil Ivlis attacks their world, but Yosafire, her friends, and other Devil girl named Reficul stops him. That's all we see in the game. BUT DSP continued the story with art and comics. Ivlis somehow ends in the Pitch Black World, the world where the Obsolete Dream manga takes place, AND WHERE THE DEVIL SATANICK LIVES. Satanick is a dick, he's an extreme pervert who loves cross-dressing and being 'punished'. Satanick kidnaps Ivlis and starts torturing him with Reficul, which includes raping him. Ivlis obviously hates Satanick for all of that, but for some reason Satanick falls in love with him, confessing his love on a kinda cute way, and acting nicer to him from now on. Again, FOR SOME REASON, Satanick and Ivlis have a son named Licorice, who calls Ivlis 'mama' and he also starts having feelings for him. So yeah, turns out this bastard created the Sea Kingdom, the Tosatsu Kingdom and the Sky Kingdom some time later, which are in a different location from the Pitch Black World but they share the same universe (in the manga you CAN find Chlomaki and Lobco). So it will be like a different continent. Also, he has a wife; who is a bitch, a son; who is a good guy; and a brother, who abused of him and made him what we know today. We got vol. 1 in english, but it doesn't include the red sea arc. However, the red sea arc does exist in manga form. I have a hard time finding translations though for more than a few pages. Even the bad end with Fukami was adapted slightly to fit into the story and give him an amazing character arc (his jealously is made a lot more apparent in the manga), and we get to see him almost snap completely.

Far as I know, nope. vgperson was the one responsable for the english translations but she no longer seems to be interested in translating funamusea's work, as she removed them from her list. There seems to be a translation in progress made by fans but it'll take a while
